HEY EVERYONE!! I am currently looking to take on some music composer and sound design projects, so please let me know!

A new piece of mine:

thank you!! I look forward to that.  :D

Hi!! My name is Russell Gordon.
  • My compositions combine haunting melodies, grooving rhythms, and impressionistic atmospheres, which are most potent in a story-driven RPG, adventure game, or anything with a focus on action. Each piece aims to be a translation of the world in which it exists. Unusual production and composing techniques give my work a distinctive signature style.
  • I can do anything! Literally? I'm capable of a wide diversity of styles and sound: classical orchestra, electronic, ambient, rock, metal, jazz, funk... these can then be recorded with real instruments, synths, soundfonts, samples. A short, looping 8-bit track? Some long, droning ambience? An epic symphonic rock tune? A goofy theme that samples flatulence? Yes, yes, yes, and... maybe.
  • My influences include the music from the ‘golden age’ of the NES, SNES, and PlayStation (esp. Chrono Trigger, Mega Man, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Ys), progressive rock, jazz fusion, avant-garde/experimental music, etc.

eat my work:
Mortality (rock battle theme) -

Some Kinda Nightmare (chiptune battle/boss theme) -

The Fallen Firmament (chiptune overworld theme) -

Post-Atmosphere (chiptune cutscene theme) -

The Impossible Voyage (chiptune main menu/opening theme) -

Shiver (sad progressive rock) -

Sekka Zusetsu (happy progressive rock) -

Sunken (classical, symphonic rock, progressive metal) -

...and many more on my Soundcloud and YouTube.

mail me if you need me!

Job offers / Looking for Artist/Designer for Surreal RPG
« on: April 19, 2018, 02:54:07 am »

I'm looking for a pixel artist(s) and/or a designer(s) for an RPG in the vein of EarthBound, Mother 3, Undertale, Paper Mario, etc. It's called OddYonder. Am currently only a hobbyist developer and composer, but incredibly serious. Most of the game is written, so I need an exciting world with exciting characters for the story to inhabit.

What I'm going for is a unique, living and breathing world that will stick with the player. think surrealism meets cartoon: absurd designs, thick outlines, bright colours, exaggerated features, etc. characters, monsters, towns, dungeons, worlds—there will be tonnes of creative freedom to make whatever you want.

The artstyle is a pastiche of 8-bit and 16-bit, and should be similar to EarthBound, Mother 3, Undertale, Pokémon, etc. Some references:

Please email me at if you are interested!
