I disagree quite a lot with you there.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I didn't mean that 2x pixels are bad, because thye are not, they are actually quite good.

When you post you can just add something like "Best viewed in 2x pixels" or something like that.
This IS after all a forum for getting comments and critique on your art, not a museum for it. (It's more of a warehouse actually.)

There isn't really anything that is an universal pixelart style, it's sort of like paintings.
Every artist develops his or her own style after a while, then continues to develop that.
It's simply how we perceive and manage the 3D to 2D slightly differently from our minds to the sheet.

As some of the more pixelart wise people of drl said, you should try again from a flat colored sprite and use shadows more sparingly.
