General Discussion / Re: Firefox 3 blurring pixel art question

Finally they added a fix. Thanks for the update guys.

Hopefully it will hit mainstream Chrome and we can finally put the interpolation wars to rest.

I love these excellent colors and shading!

The top 4th one and the second one in the second row both look unfinished compared to the rest. I'm not sure if it is the lack of texture because of their slimy nature.

Also I love your sketches of them! Could you please possibly post them!

I feel stupid now...
Anyways, I looked everywhere, and the best solution I found was just to downgrade back to FF2, which saddens me greatly.
Not to derail the thread or anything ^^.

I added another post to that linked topic that has a very good fix for all of the web. =D

Sorry about the year leaping bump but just for future references I feel I need to post this here.

The Firefox blurring issue should be fixed by now as long as there is the following css in the sites style sheet.

Code: [Select]
img {image-rendering: -moz-crisp-edges;}

For people that want every site on the web to have pixel perfect images with no blurring please install the Firefox Addon called Stylish and add the following new style:

Code: [Select]
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

img {image-rendering: -moz-crisp-edges;}

This will remove blurring from all sites.  ;D

@ sly: Didn't perceive the text-background combination as hard on the eyes so far. What kind of monitor do you use?

I use a Hp W1907V Monitor

I'm at work right now and I am using a Lenovo L192 wide monitor and it seems much better. Maybe my HP monitor is too pixel clear.

My Lenovo L192 kinda just blends certain colors with a slight blur.

I love the new skin. =D

On my monitor the text is hard to read with the background color (Not the colors but combined gives me a eye ache).

Other then that it looks good. It's going to take awhile to get used to.

I thought my monitor was going goofy until I saw the icons.

It's a refreshing change though. (Maybe a selection between both skins?)

General Discussion / Netgore

I've noticed there is a lot of people on here using less functional online engines for their games.

Netgore is a free, open-source cross-platform online RPG engine written in C# and SFML.

It currently can create Top Down and sidescrolling perspective games.

It's pretty stable so far and is getting a full networking rewrite for even more stability.

This is a excellent pixel font creator. You can do many things with this.

I've been recreating old nes fonts and it will create Truetype, Opentype, etc.

It also allows for real time use of your font as you create it.

You add "#t=02m57s" or whatever time you want at the end of the url. =D

Wow that looks nice so far - Minus the jpeg artifacts.

I hope you have that saved before you jpeg'd it.
