Although this is quite good, I have three things:
1. Her eye looks kinda funny with no white
2. The great shading you did has a light source directly above, but her hair is shaded from the right
3. Not completely convinced on the hair colors.

These are all small things, as your sprite looks quite good as is...

Unpaid Work / Heavy Metal Mascot Game

So the concept is that a heavy-metal fan is selected to become a heavy-metal mascot. But first he has to battle his way through other mascots to determine his place in the pecking order. There will be five themed areas (lined up with a pentagram of course) selectable like Mega Man, and then a final area after you've cleared the first five. Gameplay will be a run n gun, Contra-style.

Here is what is needed:
1. Background artist
2. Tile artist
3. Programmer
4. Sprite artist (optional, as I can do this)

You must be:
1. Willing to work free. Due to trademarks/copyrights in desire to use mascots of real bands and their music, we won't be able to sell this game. It's more of a portfolio builder to be released for free into the wild upon completion.
2. A heavy-metal fan. If you don't have a passion for the music and concept, take a pass.

From the first game I worked on, never to be completed, the back wall of a video game store. For bonus points, the Nintendo and Atari displays are done in NES and 5200 palettes...

This is the dev thread for my passion project, Jello's Journey. It will be a randomly-generated platformer accessible to gamers of all skill levels. It started as a SMW hack years ago, and has evolved past that since then. Here is a rundown of the basics:

1. Each level layout, enemies, and boss will be randomly-generated.
2. Aesthetics of each level will also be randomly generated, but re-roll-able using the Konami code.
3. Three difficulty levels, approximately equivalent to SMB, Metroid, and Super Meat Boy
4. Four versions/sizes of each enemy with the smallest three sizes unlocked after defeating the boss version.

So here is our hero, with powerups and transformations:

Habanero=fire breath
Watermelon=seed spitting
Coconut=similar to Tanuki-suit Mario
Pineapple=spikes for extra damage
Blood Orange=regain health when killing enemies

I am down for all CC and suggestions...
