Just wanted to say thanks to Xerus and the people that have helped so far for this awesome thread as it helped another user as well =].

thanks a lot for the reply wexx.

I know what you mean and now that you mention it I realized that I pillow shaded =[. I guess its that since working with such a small sprite I try to accomodate for folds in his shirt (around the armpits and waist) too much.

I've made an edit trying to address what you mentioned.

I know that the chest and stomach stick out further than the other parts of your middle body so I tried to make them brightest(i also used white in the highlights and adjusted the contrast a tiny bit). I cast a shadow directly under the chin and also a bit on the tops of the shoulders, but to me it looks pillow shaded worse (although it does look a tad better zoomed out). I tried to shade a little around the waist area to make the stomach stick out a bit more. I also tried editing the hair, but I don't think i'm having much luck =/.

I don't quite understand how to fix these problems. Is there any way you could do a quick edit to help me out and point out what I did wrong?

Thanks a bunch!

Pixel Art / Small RPG Character. Seeking C&C

Hello. I've been around for a long while (6-7 years at least ?), but due to certain circumstances I never pixelled for extremely long periods of time.

I need a new hobby, and pixel art always irks me as a game designer that has to depend on others for art in order to create games. For now i'm posting something I was working on last night.

I started from scratch, but eventually ended up using a non-zoomed screenshot from lunar legends as a slight reference.

Heavy C&C is greatly appreciated!
