From the position of the body, it looks like his head would be facing away from the sword a bit.  It's such a dynamic pose, but the head position doesn't seem to be in tune to that.
A very rough edit:

The jaw was way too small and the ear was too low.  And I thought there was too much shadow next to the nose compared to the rest of the image. And the center of the eyebrows were too low...almost making her look mad...lol
Anyway I made an edit to show what I mean.

Also I think (her) left eye is a bit small.  Hard to say for sure though.  It coming along nice though.  Can't wait to see what you do with the hair.

Just an idea that may enhance the windy feel:  Maybe show a hint of a foot in a frame or 2.
And I agree with linx about the sleeve beating like a heart.  Although, it might just be the upper part of the sleeve.  Maybe if just some of the lighter pixels were moved around in that part rather than the darker (shading) pixels.  Love this though!  :y:

I know this topic is 30 days old but I was bored and this one struck me.  I made an edit to find the possible problems.
The first thing that struck me was the shading in the fabric made her look a kinda fat.  I gave more curve to the waist too.  Also the neck was too short.  I put a face on her and realized the nose was a bit high. I reshaped the feet a little and gave her a little more contrast.  I hope this helps a little.  Still needs a lot of work, but I'm working on anatomy too.  :)

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.  Top down zombies!  Love it!  They're really readable at this size and really walk like zombies.  Very nice job.

Only thing is there's something wrong with the arms on the first one.  I'm not sure what it is though.  Maybe more jittery?

I think the sidewalk fits the whole style here.  As far as being plain, maybe add some more foreground details.  I could see and old newspaper blowing around or a lamp post or a mailbox.  This is really nice the way it is though.

feel free to change it
 ;D

Since you said so.  I still play cassettes sometimes.

The main thing I noticed is the proportions were off.  Both overall size and positions of things inside, such as the place where the pins go and the reels, etc.  I know there are variations of labels, so that could be anything.  I didn't change any colors or mess with the shading much, but that would go a long way depending if you wanted it to look like a diagram or something more artistic.

Anyway, I had to play with it since you said so.  :D

Also, take time to block in the basic values (like sculpting the basic shape of a clay figurine) before you start with the details because it will save you a billion headaches and hours of redrawing in the end.

This is something I need to work on. That's actually what I did on the last background edit.  I will work on that some more.  I'm sure they teach that in art school, which I never attended, so I need practice on that.

Anyway, love the edit.  Love the story   ;D

Well, back to the drawing board...literally   :ouch:

I roughly scratched out another idea for a background to add more depth and interest.  I know the horizon line is at her eye level.  Is there something wrong with that?  I have her on her own layer so I can move her around a little.

Jad's idea to make her stance wider is definitely a good way to go. Wide stance is a power stance, assertive, fits the personality you're going for. Chin up as well (though that's kind of moving it into arrogant territory). It's either that or make her look very comfortable and relaxed with where she is and what shes doing. Move her weight onto one leg and bring some curves into the spine.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Sorry, I guess it was just eating at me a little and I couldn't help but write it. There's just so many things I see every day that push sexual objectivity of women (be it games, advertising, art, ...) that I've developed a knee-jerk reaction to seeing it.  D: It was more referring to the earlier versions where her skirt was so high you could see her underwear.

Yeah, the underwear was a bit much for this.   :-[
