Pixel Art / Re: Rabbit Laser Beam [WIP]

I agree with all Tourist said, including about the edit.

Further edit:

Probably way to noisy especially for animation, but fixed the eye a little more.  Seems to look better a little smaller.  I don't know.  You be the judge.  Just throwing ideas at you.  Kind of looks like a cat with long ears now.  Sorry about that..  lol  :)

Nice.  I like your idea.

Here's an edit:

I would say more a believable eye was the biggest issue.  I looked very separate from the bunny.  I tried to define a head to find a better placement for the eye as far as location(lowered a bit), and shading it as where it would fit best in its eye socket. And I was more aggressive with the shading over all to pull it together as a whole.  Anyway hope it gives you some ideas.

Very cool.  How about more dramatic shading?

Its' really hard to determine a light source.  I'd go for more contrast on the face with a more definitive shadows after determining a light source.  If nothing else shade the eye sockets and around the nose and neck. Don't be afraid of a more contrasting color.

Pixel Art / Re: Customizable Sprite Bases!

These make some nice sprites.  But with the amount of variations you could possibly have, it would be a lot easier to render a character with a piece of software.  I used to do stuff like this.  More with iso stuff rather than sprites, such as roads, trees and buildings.
What are your ultimate plans for this?

It seems like it's off balance(the top compared to the bottom).  The face looks too small and the legs look too fat(especially her left one).  The center looks great though.
I think the eye and crotch were too high as well.
A quick edit...

The hair seems too stiff on the forehead for some reason.  It might work if the head looked like it was tilting to the side a bit more (see my edit above).  I wouldn't dither the face either(or at least that much).  That's just personal taste tho.
The feet should be easy since the hands came out nice.  ???

You're doing a great job.  I'm surprised you need help with the face and feet.  Anyway, I like small detailed stuff so here's a quick face edit for an idea...

Can't wait to see more progress.

I didn't think the original pose was off that much....I looked at it as he was ready to strike with the blade.  Which would be correct with the extended leg to create a balance when the blade was swung forward.

Manjaman's edit looks correct too if the blade has already started it's motion.

I agree with WM about the light source.  Maybe just the lightest color on the pants should be used just as highlights on the knees?

thanks for the edit dpixel! is this enough of his face showing? or should his head be turned more.
Yes.  That's much better.  It was a bit hard to read before.
