General Discussion / "Equipment" for working on the go?

Train rides, bus rides, random free time in public/work, there's lots of room to squeeze some drawing time - but I personally find it a little hard to actually get work done on a smartphone using a pixel app, the small screen just about triples the worktime..
Soo, do any of you use any sort of equipment to draw pixels on the go? A tablet, or perhaps you even pull out a laptop?
I would to hear about it if you do, how comfortable it is, and what model you're using, etc, could use some inspiration on that subject

Pixel Art / [WIP] NPC dances for my opening sequence

I'm making an opening sequence for my game, about 1-3 NPCs will be displayed onscreen each time the melody replays , dancing.
Here are the animated NPCs, 8 frames each:
Here is the the part of the track where they appear:

To line it up, you're supposed to hear a beat whenever the top left circle is either blue or red =]
What do you guys think about them? would love to hear any sort of thoughts!

Pixel Art / [WIP] NPC mockups for my game!

Started on the NPCs for my game this week
Wasn't sure if this goes here, or in the game project forum, but I'll try here.
The motif of my game is basically "fruit culture"
So everything, from buildings to people, is fruit-themed
Characters from left to right are:
[Bakers] Blue Berry, Straw Berry, [Triplets] Rapel Gapel & Yapel, [Arcade Owner] Flora Passif, [Player Character, instrument shop owner] Cider, [Arcade Frequenter] Lee Chi
*I am 100% pleased with Cider, I got alot of help from Marco Vale on him, included him for reference.
*There are more NPCs to be added, but I wanted to hear some first thoughts on how to improve these sprites!

Heya! this is my first post here,
* I am a pixelartist and an aspriring game developer looking to get more involved in pixel art and game art communities!
* I figured I'd start by posting one of my recent well-received works and hear what you guys have to say,
From constructive criticism about things I can pay more attention to in future projects, to just general opinions
This scene is based on a song called "For Forever" from the Broadway musical "Dear Evan Hansen"
Eagerly awaiting to hear from you guys!
