Interesting Concept. I love your input

We didn't think of grey for the clothing, We were using a Dark purple and its nice to see what we can work with.

It would be awesome to see some other inputs. ^_________________^

I love the leg pant detail on the top one, and the Color shades are interesting on the bottom one. I Like how you used less color hues and revamped the lighting ^_^. Lemme work on it some more and show you all the Newestest version. lol ^_^

Ah I see!. Bravo. Thanks for the help. Also I was wondering about the Armadillo scales, I think it needs to be redone. Any tips with that? and useful colors you think would look good for an Armadillo? Thanks guys for all the help! ^_^ I love the edits. Yeah I need to stop pillow shading, I suppose I rushed it a bit. But I was trying to illuminate the colors I guess I got a lil too outta control and added too many shades. *sighs >_>

Howdy mates ^_^ I've been having a bit of trouble with color composition. I just don't know what to stick with. Could you please tell me what you like and dislike, also I'm not too sure about the scaling texture.? Anyone with any insight? I'd be very grateful for any tips. I always love coming to this place for help coz you guys always give me really good Critique. Well anyways this is a platformer-sidescrolling game where you have to collect cards to create a deck and defeat your foe "The Phantasmagoria" which sprung up from Nuclear fallout in a WWIII type of setting. Also theres an evil General whom survived and he is now Half-Human, Half-Machine, who goes by the name Eger D. AnvilL. ciao ^_^ and have a wonderful day.

Pixel Art / Re: crit help deciding which character is better...
« on: August 30, 2009, 01:23:08 am »
lol, sorry but the character is a charactiature... the anatomy is suppose to be distorted, I wasn't having a problem with the shape of the character because I know very well what style I am looking for. I was just asking for shading and color choices, so if you got confused I apologize. Also I wanted to know different methods of coloring, dithering, and etc. Again I'm sorry I should have been more clear on what kind of advice I wanted, it's my fault. But thanks for the comments none-the-less.

Realism is never what I strive for when creating characters. I mean look at DBZ with the weird eyes, or even the old peanuts comics. Theres a certain style to every cartoon and or game, and I for one like inventing new looks or distinctive stylized anatomy to customize stigma ^_~. lol isn't that what makes art so interesting? or do you want everything real and exact? either way I apologize for my vagueness in my approach for asking advice and crits.
