Pixel Art / Re: Ramona Flowers

Finished? I can't find anything that I could do better. I can't make any drastic changes because the due date is tomorrow, but if you point out anything that looks off and it doesn't require me to redraw the whole thing that would be great! thanks!

sorry about the double post

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure how to make her tilt toward the viewer, I'm going to have to mess around with that.  I think her eyes looked pretty weird I may have fixed it by moving the right one up a pixel. Also her face was a little smooshed so I gave it more length. I'm not so sure how well the blue works as a highlight, I was just playing around with that.

For the weekly challenge, I'm making a portrait of Romana Flowers from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I've never tried to use a random pallet like this to make a skin tone, so I'm pretty new to trying to mixing weird colors.

Colors I can use :

reference for jacket : I found it on the colored line art thread.

gif and png keeps the pixels in tact, and jpeg screws all the pixels up so never save as jpg. You shouldn't give up so early you just started the thread today. :-\

Based on the shadow on his forehead, the light source is from above. So, his hat should be a lot lighter. Those couple of diagonal pixels are bugging me on the shirt and pants, I suggest you take them out. I think the perspective is a little off on the hat, but I'm not sure about that.  Also, he has no neck, so you might want to give him one ;). Cigar/ wheat thing coming out of his  mouth is hard to read. Good luck!

I like the bent knee on the second pose makes him look more ready for action.  I made you an edit to show some things that could help you.

I wouldn't try to draw the face inside the helmet, the sprite is too small for that. I think you need to simplify it and get the forms down before you start adding in details. Personally, I don't like dithering at this size, it just makes it look messy. I assume the gun is being charged to fire, so the light coming from it would be much brighter and it would show on the armor around it. Take out that part on the right elbow where there are two different parts connecting the arm. It looks kind of messy, you should just combined them to make one part. Are you using a reference? If so, post the link on the thread. If not, get one. :P

HOLY CRAP MIASCUGH! THAT'S AMAZING!  :D  Sooooo awesome I love it! Thank you so much!

I think you should focus on one piece, because I find it hard to give criticism when you dumb like 30 small pieces in one thread. Also, i would suggest using either MS paint or graphics gale instead of your website to create these because it makes and odd pattern in each pixel which makes it difficult to edit. I think you will get more reply's when you start doing those two things.
