Pixel Art Feature Chest / Re: Mountain landscape
« on: December 01, 2012, 09:16:34 pm »
You're newest edit is definitely a step in the right direction. Right now, I think your biggest problem is the the mountains are too triangular.  Take a look at Tim's edit. the mountains in the back are not triangular, they go up in more of a trapezoid shape and are flat with multiple peaks. Use a reference if you haven't, I think it would help out a lot.  I think this could be useful to you

but there are probably better ones out there, I only looked for a minute or so.  Personally I would avoid using the spikes on the mountain just because they would be distracting in game.

I edited the front two mountains, but it's probably not worth much because you have other edits that would demonstrate it better.

I don't know why it's AA'd like that photobucket is messed it up or something..

Hoyyeahhhh! its secret santa! I'm in.

I like animals, nature, fantasy, robots, sprites, Indie and retro games, and everything and anything that you would like to pixel would be fine with me.

This is my favorite part of Christmas :D

Wow thank you! I don't know how I didn't notice that his ears were round, not pointy like they should be.  I don't want to totally rework the body, because it would require a lot more work than I want to spend remaking the cycles and stuff. If I would of caught it at the beginning I would of most likely added more fur and changed the legs, but I just don't want to do all that work again. I fixed the head and the tail, and I think it looks much better. Thank you again Facet.

Thank you everyone for your critique! I think the animations have improved much in this update.
I redid the back to have 8 frames and the same up down motion as the rest

I hunched the side view over a bit

The front is probably my favorite now, add the twist and more frames.

I started the front attack, but I need to edit it a bit.

NateK did a great edit for me that I need to study for my next update

Thank you again, critique is always welcome.

Hi! I need some critique on these werewolf cycles. I think the arms are the part that I'm having the most trouble with (front and back cycles.) Any critique is welcome and would be very helpful! Thanks!

Thank you again!

What an awesome activity. I have a feeling these totems are going to get pretty high. Once I get some free time I'll starting making some.

Btw, I love the pallet rikfuzz, did you make it?

Pixel Art / Turn Based mock-up

Hi everyone! Recently I've been working on a mockup for an advanced wars type game. I was inspired by Eyecrafts mockups of Super Daiymo ( to make a high saturation top down.

(ignore the thing on the side I was using it for tiling)

I was thinking those sheep at the top eat grass to lay eggs, and you can choose what monster comes out of the eggs. Right now I have 5 different types of enemies and a couple of tiles. I'm trying to persuade my brother into making an android game with these graphics haha. Please leave comments or criticism. Thanks! Next up I'm going to animate the water and snake, and possibly some new tiles.

I think those are actually clouds in the background. you might want to clear that up, it's easily mis-read.

Wow thanks Photocopier, that looks awesome! I love the colors used!

@Lizzrd Sorry I didn't get your present submitted in time, I just sent it to Atnas. I made a mistake with the timezone difference. Hope you like it.
