You said before that you weren't sure what to add for details.  This happens to me a lot and I find the best way is to use reference pictures.  Real pictures or screen shots from video games.  Then you can see whats really in a forest, cave, etc.  I think most would agree that you should always work with references and I think it helps most in those little details that you don't really remember that are there.  Oh and its coming along really really well, the new character looks great.  In fact, I kind of like him with no arms at all, maybe you should keep him like that unless he needs arms in your game.

To me the body does not fit the head, i think the face looks pretty young and the body looks like a strong developed man body.  It also looks like the head is colored differently than the rest of the body and it makes his head looks like its pasted on a different body.  The body is much more red while your head lacks that same amount of color and detail.  Looks better with the armor on, but I agree the arms are too big and the hands too large.

you don't need the commercial version of graphics gale to animate.  The only difference in the commercial and the free version is that you cant export or open gif files in the free version.  All you need to do is export your animation into separate files and reorder them in some other program that you can export as a gif.

Hey Zeid, thanks so much for the edit.  I liked your edit a lot.  I re-worked him and changed the palette though not as much as you did .  I want to still keep the colors somewhat desaturated as I want sort of a dark and gritty style.  Yours seems to still pop more compared to my edit.  Do you think I went too far on the lighting for animations?  I'm going to apply it to my attacking animation and see how long it takes.  Thanks for the help Zied and Fool as well.  Any more comments would be appreciated.

All comments are welcome! I'm looking for comments on the pixelling or the animation or both  Thanks a lot.
