looking good.
hard palette.
this version looks like daylight is coming through the trees.
the lighting of the first one made more sense for wolfy to have a lamp.

careful not to block up the head too much.
i don't know if you are going for a squarish style, but the top of the hair is distractingly angular to my eye.
other small observations, the neck is looking very short, making the shoulders so close to the face that it implies a slight downward looking perspective.
the face could be framed more nicely with a greater contrast in the hair.

loving the design of the background, it really pulls the perspective together to my eye for some reason.
a little confused about the light source though.
what is the direction and type of light?
i'm begining to really feel for this mofo, i can see the wheels turning: "they spilt my ale, they shall die"

thanks. well, i had some time to work on this more.
i can't quite wrap my brain around styledithering, so i'm just making surface detail by defining the musculature more.
this is also the new value set, how does it read?
i realize these are issues better resolved in the still idle pose, but i had animators itch (out of ointment) and wanted to see that arm and fist in motion.

hands are fine, i thought you might still be resolving the gesture, but they work in this posture.
with the large lower half, i reckoned maybe you were presenting a forced perspective of the kind that is seen with 28mm lens distortion:

in which case the head would taper off more as perspective forced it smaller.
never mind though if that is not your goal.
i think his build is just fine.
if he gets any more athletic, perhaps consider a tankard of powerade instead of beer.
everyone's favorite peoplehacker should endorse with the best of them.

color aside, a true 45 degree view is much more squashed like this rough edit:

its not the most helpful view, but can be interesting.
many games imply a 45 degree view, but actually use true frontal view sprites over a top down map, as Helm points out in this thread:

loving the violets in the fingers and the red in the scabbard.
careful of different hand sizes.
meassuring palm to middle finger, i see a marked disparity.

thats cool, but the neck is kind of off.
the muscles (sternocleidomastoids) are not reading right.
try shading more around where they touch the larynx/adam's apple as this edit roughly shows:

also, you dont need the 132, 74, 66 (rgb) brown.

changing proportions, editing breasts, etc. is pointless till you have a working composition.
in this pose you need arms.
breasts move with arms and proportions are partially relative to arms.
