2D & 3D / Re: Torso Anatomy?

Thanks everyone, especially pistachio. I instantly got better after seeing that amazing paintover. Colors really do make the muscle groups easier to understand.

Quick sketch I made with your image as reference:

2D & 3D / Torso Anatomy?
« on: February 16, 2018, 06:42:03 am »

I've been working on anatomy and one thing I'm really struggling with is everything underneath the chest. How do the abdominal muscles and ribs interact? In pictures of really buff guys are those the ribs or muscles?

Any other general feedback would be cool too.

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Pixel art as a job?

Got it. I'm going for it.

I think that if I can develop these skills now - pixel art, concept, textures, animation, etc. - I will be in a good position to make money. Not enough to support myself, but at least enough to be significant.

I do have reasonable programming skills, so maybe that will help.

In any case, thanks guys! Time to start studying.

Thanks RAV, for the reply. No offense taken, although the outlook is slightly worse than I expected. I want to break into the industry while I'm young and can build a portfolio working for cheap/free, but if even the best are having a tough time, there doesn't seem like much of an industry to break into.  :(
