General Discussion / Re: Crocodingus in Cube Island : the game

That's amazingly fresh and funny. Congratulations !

But now that i look at your mock-ups i noticed one small error in the mapping (don't remember if it was here in the game)
The textures of the reflected terrain in the water was not inverted. The reflected "piece of grass" should be downside.
You could also make the texture fade as it sink into the water (just a suggestion).
And maybe you should try to change the texture on top of the mound to make it stand out a bit more from the rest of the terrain because it is now sometimes hard to read.
The camera is also rotating too slowly which is a bit frustrating.

Keep up!
May the pixel be with you  ;)

Your characters looks strangely close to the characters of the famous (out there) korean social network cyworld

Moreover this swimming-pool reminds me something

Weren't you a bit, inspired ?

As cave suggested, i think it lacks exagerated movements. Makes him be more cartoonish.
The head generally focus on the direction where the characters walks, this , actually, more the body that will rotate than the head.
The arms shouldn't stay still during more than 1 frames at the extremity of the movement, it gives a slight feeling that it's a bit jerky (in comparison the legs looks good since they always have a different position) . Keeps him moving, even if it's one pixel, the result should be smoother.
Delaying the legs and the arms animation cycle of 1 or 2 frames should strenghten the cartoonish look.

I think you meant, it "looks like" a photoshop procedural resize of a much larger image.
The grey outlines which goes gradiently from the character color to the background color give this unwanted blurred effect.
I think you should get rid of it in order to make the sprite cleaner or just keep it light (look at madsk8tard's edit and you'll understand what i mean)
 :)
