Did I say walk? Oops, I meant running... or power walking, lol. Yeah I think it looks okay but like you guys said, I need to add the upper part of the body to really know. I will post the entire char animation when I'm done. I decided to skip the walking anim and do a running just because I want to make a platform game with faster mouvement.

Hey wasn't there a sprite you made too? Or am I crazy. Anyway, if I'm not I liked the sprite you had made. I like the non square shape of the Snot van you did. I agree the barricade needs work becuase it doesn't seem to fin in style with the snot and popo(weird thing to say... lol)

They redid the sprites for the GBA version http://www.universo-nintendo.com/files/Imagenes/Tales_of_Phantasia.png which is what Flame is referencing. It is pretty different from the old SNES ones. Very cute, Flame (^^)b

Actually I think they use the ones of the PSX version. Which are a lot more cutish. Nice work in general for the sprite although the body position doesn't look alright.

I have difficulty choosing skin tones and I don't think that just looking at skin tones really helps you get a feel for chosing the right colors. I never seem to understand or grasp color selection when people explain it so... I don't really think just looking at this would help choosing skin tones, personally. I guess, if you're as hard headed as me, it wouldn't.

Choosing colors in artwork is often an instinct more then a science, and some people have worked all their lives at mastering colors. Some people are born naturally with talents to do this, others aren't. For those who do not have the talent all there is left is hard work. Seriously, I have problems with color too and I don't understand when somebody tells me or explains it. So all there is left for people like you and me is pratice, pratice and pratice. Eventually you will get it. But count me out, I don't like art THAT much to pratice enough, lol. Anyway, don't give up. ;)

that's how buses in london look tho.

Are you sure, I think it depends... I'm sure that some of them look like that but the ones I have gotten into were different. Anyway I'm sure hawken did the research and they look good IMO. What I'm wondering is why are the wheel rims of the bus different colors? Is it on purpose?

I like it but I think the flesh like colors make it look like a weird unidentifable body part. I would experiment with other colors, like a dark purple maybe

Edit : I realised after that you only drew the head, I though it was a floating face. lol... anyway... i want to see the other sins!

Well, although I don't think I'm concerned in the "teaching you" comment, I have to say you are a good student. From what I see you really listen to what people say and remember it the next time. So often people just post their art asking for CC, when actually in their mind they think their stuff is already incredible and are only showing it off to the undertalented of the board. You come in with modesty and ready to learn. That's a good attitude. Now I hope I didn't embarass you with this praise out of the blue... lol :P

Hmm...
No need to confine oneself to 2 dimensions.
Thomas Scott Kuebler

Wow, his stuff is really nice... inspiring me so much. And to think, sculptures... let's steal one of them and scare the shit out of someone, lol.

Aw, crap... my eyes were hurting so I went to rest them on my bed and fell asleep. Now I woke up and i'm wide awake at 1 am! Don't you hate it when that happens... =/

Anyway here is what I had done for big sprite first which I think it was okay as a first shot in animation, so I might have gotten too confident.

And this is what I got for the new smaller sprite after a lot of editing because I kept making the legs in a weird way.. and it doesn't feel like it's gonna smoothly transit.
