@0xdb This sandwich guy gives me the chills. Why are your humas always like this? :(

So here is my result of today. I need to post more often. It's not good for me to stew in my own juice all time. ^^

Pixel Art / Re: Trouble with big tree trunk (baobab)
« on: February 15, 2017, 09:26:36 pm »
Ow, this thread surprised me. I've never heard about baobobs before.
You made great progress. The new color choice, the lower right, is way better and it looks more natural now.
What bothers me is the thickness of the trunk. It does not scream "TREE!" to me, even if baobobs look like that. So this is an artistic choice. You can make it to look more like a tree to everyone who doesn't know baobobs or you can leave it as it is to be more correct.

Oh, and try to loosen up your outline a little. It's really cartoonish currently.

EDIT: Ahaha, Baobobs are called "Affenbrotbaum" in german what's corresponding to "monkey bread tree". And of course I've known them before, they just look different as home plant.

There is this crack going from the wood into the metal. It's just a detail, but you may fix it in no time. It would not crack like that. Let the crack go right under the metal edge.

My first try with textures. I was looking forward this exercise and it didn't disappoint me. It is fun (but hard). =)

@beast Nice to see you posting. Don't stop.

You have to work on the shading. There is no actual lightsource and thereby a lot of pillow shading is represented.

Pixel Art / Re: Blake Belladonna (RWBY) RPG Style Sprite

She's a Faunus which means she has a trait from an animal. So yes, she does have cat ears.

Your reaction is just natural, since I was a little provoking with my appointment. But yeah, like Mystery said: This fact wasn't visible in your first post. :)

As to the head: If this is the style you want to go for, okay.
But her actual headshape does make her look chubby, what in fact, she is not. It doesn't hurt to play around with your sprite to learn something new.
