Pixel Art / Re: buttocks [NSFW]

Nice and smooth. I really like the way you have looped the frames.
Although, I have to ask. Is the intention to make it look comical rather than attractive?
It reminds me of the british tongue in cheek demo scene era stuff. If that's your intention, I think the animation is perfect. The shading looks great too. On the other hand, if your aim is to make it hot you have a lot to work on. The extreme bounce and separation makes it looks like she is extremely skinny fat and have a flabby pancake ass, kind of like an infant. The hip tilt and cat walk strut is perfect though.
It is meant as a music video for hip hop. I don't understand why it can't be both. :( hehe, nah, I toned it down a bit in the newer iterations.

Very impressive update! Still think it's missing a bit of mass, but the animation is great. Did you use any reference? It almost has a rotoscoped look to it.
Thanks a lot mate. :D
I used a ton of references, but I didn't rotoscope. It's pure grind, going over every drawing again and again and again. In retrospect I probably should have looked at the references more than I did, I thought I'd finish this gif within two weeks but it's stretching on forever, hehehe.
Actually now that you remind me of it I might rotoscope the arms, they're such a pain to get right. I will finish it this weekend for sure.

Pixel Art / Re: [C+C] Pixel self portrait

In my opinion the portrait already looks great, leave it, focus on the overall composition. The red-green contrast in the background draws a lot of attention. As does the triple outline border. Try to think of how to get the audience to look at your portrait and let the background fall back.

I love this! Very nice gestures and simplification. You just need to animate them!

I think it is natural for artists to draw what is in their mind, and many artists are truly pervs. Just label it [NSFW] so people can identify it easily. Art is art no matter if you're drawing 16th century aristocrats, barbarians crushing skulls or people getting funky.

General Discussion / Re: What Games Do You Think Have The Best Pixel Art?

Mystery Meat got it; Metal Slug. Late 90s SNK NeoGeo games was the peak.
Also Sogna's Viper series if you like hentai games, hehe.

Looks good. It is a bit shaky now, especially if you look at the heat. Maybe it is intended to be shaky since it does make him look like he's running with force; but it would probably be a good idea to stabilize him a while you work on the animation so you get a clear grasp of the motion. You can always put the shake back when the animation is done.

Meh. It's just the times. We live in a era of prudes. Everything is PG. Sex scenes has been replaced by CG sky beams, and we care more about scientists shirt fashion than their achievements in their field. In 50 years it will probably be the opposite and we'll all be as filthy as our predecessors were in the 70s.
Just do what you love to do, and if people mock you remember that their petty observations will be gone tomorrow but what you create will stick around.  :y:

Also, you can add some 'social' media links into your profile here on Pixelation. They will appear below your avatar in every post... and you can stalk other users who've already done that.
I did not know! :D
