Unpaid Work / 2d Platfromer looking for 2D/pixel artis/designer
« on: February 20, 2016, 02:00:57 pm »
Hello i have recently started working on a platformer project, you can see the state of it here:
https://youtu.be/451yJaB4j5A
Certain animations are missing, plus certain behaviors need refining.
Everything at this point is subject to change.

This project has no name so far, nor i have decided on the general setting/style yet.

I intend for this project to be an adventure platformer possibly with rpg elements, however that is up for discussion.

i am beginner developer and would like to start my portfolio with that project(possibly monetize later/upon completion).

i am currently looking for 2d/pixel artist/designer, who would like to get into game dev and add this project to their portfolio/resume(possibly monetize later/upon completion).

As an artist you will decide on the general look and style of the project, however i will have some demands towards the resolution etc.

You will also take big part in a setting/ plot of the project.

If we will go through with that, we will discuss any rev share/monetization.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Pixel Art / Yet another Newbie.
« on: February 13, 2016, 12:29:42 am »
Hello, i am very new to pixel art, but absolutely loved it all my life.

I started with something trivial a little guy callded Jack :D

made him run as well :D

initially made a few other states to play around with in Unity,

then, i tried to do some "level design", lol, resulting in:

and

after that i went through millions of pictures trying to get a hang of it, on the way i run into a futuristic pixel robot gif on some other forum, and loved it so much,  that i absolutely had to do my "steampunk" version of it:

animating this guy proved to be an absolute nightmare  :'(
Looking for info on pixel animations i came around here :D, Decided to take a break and get some fresh opinions :D
so, any tips, suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!!!
