Hello we are Driftworld Studios and we are accepting quotes for an upcoming project we are working on.

We are working on a small scifi rougelike with horror elements and we are looking for 2-3 looped songs for the game that have a dark ominous tone (think the feeling and pace of the first alien movie or a deadspace feel)

We would like the songs to be sort of slow in tempo and progression and give a sense of mystery and forboding but not so scary it stops the player from wanting to explore the area. We would also like one of the 3 to be a combat track this one would be similar to the others but a bit more upbeat to bring a kind of excitement but also panic to combat.

We also need a sound effects composer and will need various sounds for the game such as menu sounds, foot steps, guns shooting doors opening airlocks hissing etc

We are a small team and our budget is modest but we are flexible and willing to supplement the upfront payment with a revenue share if this is something you'd be interested in but we of course understand that your work is valuable and deserves compensation and we will work with you to find a number that works for both of us that is fair.

Thank you for your time if you have any questions or would like to submit a quote please contact us at: Gregorym29@gmail.com

Job offers / [Paid] Hiring pixel artist for indie game project

Hello we are Driftworld Studios (Driftworldstudios.com) and we are looking to hire an artist for our upcoming indie game project.

We are a small team and our usual artist is working on a personal project so we will need a replacement for this project.

Our budget is modest but we are planning to pay for art at an ongoing rate for 6 months to release our title and then pay for more art for updates for a good amount of time after that (perhaps a year or more unless we move on to another project at that point)

The game we are working on is a rougelike scifi horror type game with a dark feel we will need assets that are 64x64 mostly and are looking at needing around 60 sprites for the alpha roughly with 25% of those needing some sort of animation (the player sprite and some enemies)

We only have a modest budget per month so we will have to buy assets from you in packs over the development time as funds become available. We are also willing to consider a revenue share in addition to the upfront payments if it helps reduce upfront costs but this is not mandatory.

Please give us a rough quote per sprite so we can budget accordingly (we understand some sprites will cost more than others but a baseline would be helpful.)

Thank you for your time and I look forward to speaking with you.

Greg.
Lead developer for DriftWorldStudios.

Please email us with your rates for consideration, our address is Gregorym29@gmail.com
If you'd like more information about our project or have any questions just let us know and we will do our best to clarify.

Job offers / Game Creator looking for some pixel art (PAID)
« on: February 14, 2015, 07:55:18 am »
Hello, my name is Greg, I'm 21 and am the developer of ImmortalDream. (ImmortalDreamGame.com)

I currently have a pixel artist (My sister) however sometimes I get creative and take up a second small game on the side. She is too busy to work on all my little projects so I'm looking for a side artist that can help me out.

I am a programmer and suffer from programmer art lol it's AWFUL I have tried to learn pixel art for my side projects but to no avail. It seems I am designed for the code aspect instead.

I have a modern japan themed sim game I'm looking at working on but I tend to get discouraged when its all stick people and circles as placeholder art lol. If you think you can do that sort of style send me an email with your portfolio.

I am not wealthy by any means and work a crappy 9-5 but I know pixel art is not free and am willing to negotiate a fee per work or weekly depending on what we need to do.

I would prefer paypal as a payment method but we can try to work out other ways if needed.

I will describe the game idea in further detail if this all works for you :)

Thank you in advance,
Greg.
