« on: June 08, 2015, 07:03:20 pm »
Hello,
I made some top down zombies, a robot and a character and need some critique
I used http://www.deviantart.com/art/2D-Top-down-Zombie-Comparison-294647497 as inspiration
I admit that i copyed some of his zombies to get some confidence in this angle but the robot and character are truly made by my

hello bigfoot,
It looks like you got fustrated with making this sprite.
You are complety right it is hard to do the hair. So i made a little edit for you.

I did not really got the hair to look like in the refrence but hope you can learn something from it.
I also made a colour pallet.
PS: it is my first edit ever

I've been studying tank tracks lately for a woodworking project.
Usually the drive wheel is not in contact with the ground, which is usually located in the front, but sometimes the back.
Overall, they could use more definition, shading and contrast.

Track edit:

wow that edit really inspired my, i am going to change all the track so that they look like your edit

i already did the #5 and i started on #2

I see that you are pretty new so you may not know but you don't have to upscale your art. This forum has a automatic zoom function(click to zoom in / shift+ click to zoom out). If the images gets blurry than i suggets using firefox, that is the only browser that does not blur it when you zoom in.

The astronaut looks pretty good. The proportions look right to my, and i like the antenna on the back.
The only things i dislike is that you use black outline on a smile sprite (or it is just my, i don't like black outline at all).
And that there is almost no colour variation in the suite but that may be because NASA space suites are not made to be fashonable. But you did a good job hiding that with drawing the attention to the helmet, gun and antanna.

you have to turn of the Interpolation in game maker.

here is a video that explaines what it is and how to turn it off.

Sorry that it took so long to make a update but it was really hard to find some spare time to work on this. Well this is what i made with you guy's advice.

i used winkatawink work as refrence because decroded steps were to complecated because i had never worked with 2 light sources and i want the only light source to hit the front.
