Coding sadly isn't my best field, being dyslectic. Takes a while to get through.

If flash could run a Multimedia Fusion .exe file, I'd be all set. Don't expect that to happen anytime soon though.

I'm considering a little Shmup project right now, but I reckon it's not going to end up in flash in the end.

Additionally, if any wants any help finishing a mock-up, I'd be glad to do that as well.

I think that's what we have the pixel critique section for. If I understood you right, you're asking for people who want to make games of their old mockups? Fair enough.

As for showing off mockups, I'm afraid don't have anthing I want to post here right now. IMO I'd rather finish an idea before posting it all over the place.

It says that there should be no changes to the background, does this mean we can movie it up or down, or do we essentially have to tile on top of it?

The reason I'm asking is because of the perspective in my clouds. It's from the ground tilted upward and, unlike Mirre's planar picture, will break any perspective in my tiles when changing height unless they're all different. Could of course just cover it by a wall, but that sort of defeats the point.

Hm. A jar-carrying armor-dancer vs a mutant closet on an alien planet in the middle of a tornado subtly interrupted by sunshine... I'll have to think about this...

Was really hoping for Blick to show up. Ah well. That's some effective dithering you've got going Mirre, had to zoom to notice.

Guess I'm up against you in the final round after all. Can't wait to see how this turns out! I wish you the best of luck in the finals.

That's really too bad Buloght, I was looking forward to it. There's no honor winning without competition.

Looks very promising. I take it that it's still designed for Wii controll? If so, maybe you should do a scaled version. By the looks of the app. there is a zoom feature, but it's always better to maximise the potential of fullscreen IMO.

Looking at your consept, I immediately thought of a mix of Mario (the hat and pipes) and his stand-in in Donkey Kong 3: Stanley the Bugman. He used a similar design of using a pump for spraying insects with bugspray.

I like where this is going though. I'm a fan of stylistic approaches to gamedesign, so I don't feel like I need to point at anything just yet. The roots near the opening clashes with the rest though. Just make sure it's consistent and this should be great.

I'll have to take a closer look at that Wii app. Thanks.
