General Discussion / Re: Wacom tablet for pixel art?
« on: August 12, 2014, 08:38:51 pm »
The great thing about Wacom is.. Free software! They put in several programs for you to try in most tablets (I got Photoshop, Corel, Anime Studio, and others with both my Bamboo and Intous) so once you get it go to the Wacom site and download them all. I don't think specific pixel programs are included, but its fun to try out the different programs and find the one suited for yourself.

I have always used a tablet when doing digital art. It feels weird to use a mouse in all honesty. You get more control with a tablet its quicker (at least on my desk) to move the pen than a mouse. So yeah, without repeating what's already been said, a tablet definently.

I use a Wacom Intous Pen+Touch currently for about six months. Before then I used a Wacom Bamboo fun. The Bamboo I've had for five years, used almost every day, and is still in nearly perfect condition. It goes without saying that I recommend Wacom products.

Rather big image

Been doing some space work more and was also going to do the fur tomorrow.
All from scratch in Photoshop (with some tutorial help.. if anyone wants the links I can give them here) except for the moon texture, which can be found here.

We've been worked very hard in summer band so far, but I can't help but enjoy it. Luckily, we're at least a month ahead of last year, and we might even start learning the contest drill before the school year starts. Its only been two weeks and we've already learned techniques that it took the entire month to cover. The director from last year quit and the new one knows how to teach marching. Its been very fun but I've had no time for art or my new story! Oh well, I enjoy band. I'm hoping for a great contest show. Last year's was a nightmare because we were behind in learning it and it wasn't very good to begin with. But the music this year is so cool and I'm hoping the marching is too!

Wow, I haven't posted in a while. Haha, sorry about that. Band, mostly. It started about two weeks ago and I have been to exhausted to do anything but sleep. (and practice.. the all-state music this year is scary!)

Quick horse edits.

I dulled the harsh highlight. Better?

Did a commission today
Not very good but I probably won't do any other art today

On a side note band starts tomorrow so if I start making silly marching related pixels don't be shocked.
