Now that I look at the grass again I do realize that it does that. Do you have way I could make it look more clear?

Pixel Art / My second real Pixel art piece using your tips!

Hello everyone for a second time! If you guys remember I put up a piece a while ago and you guys critiqued it and gave me a lot of helpful advice. Because of that great experience, I would love if the community could critique my second real piece of pixel art.

I tried to work on the palette, keeping it in the dark blues with low saturation. I don't know about the background yet, I need some ideas for it.
Please tell me what you think of it!

General Discussion / Re: Good Pixel Art Programs for Mac?

Oh, I didn't know you could do that on Photoshop with the paint bucket. I guess Photoshop isn't that bad at all. Do you guys know if it can animate as well?

About Aseprite, I will try the beta, but maybe I'll stick to Photoshop for now.

@FrostPumkin
I know photoshop has the pencil tool and everything, but I just get so annoyed when I can't use, for example, the paint bucket tool because 2 colors are close to each other and it just fills the whole page. Probably the main reason I dislike Photoshop is because everybody talks about Grafx2 and GraphicsGale, and other programs specifically for pixel art.

@Kasumi
I have seen Aseprite on different forums, but needed a real suggestion to try it out! I will see if it will do the job!

Ok so I tried Aseprite, and started playing with the different tools and colors. I was moving my drawing tablet pen to draw, and I guess it got stuck? Anyways, it pushed my cursor to a far top left corner of my screen, and both my normal mouse and my pen couldn't move, making me have to restart my computer. Have you ever had this problem, and is there an easy solution?

General Discussion / Good Pixel Art Programs for Mac?

Hello everyone!
   I have been on this forum for about a week and want to get a good program for my art. I have a mac, so I can't use GraphicsGale. Grafx2 is something I tried, but ended up breaking my mouse's driver because only my drawing tablet moved the mouse after that (I got it fixed with a restart, but I don't want to have to restart after every drawing). I also have Photoshop, but it is kinda frustrating to use the tools that are not really designed for pixel Art. I love how GraphicsGale has the animation and color count features, so I would like something like that. And also, I am broke, so maybe a free program would be nice. Thanks for reading this!

That picture makes a lot more sense, Mr. Fahrenheit. I think I will think about colors a lot more when I am pixel arting. I'll be sure to post another one of my questions on this forum, since you guys have been so helpful!

I have changed the colors quite a bit and you were right. I think it looks a lot better.

I think the grass is a lil meh, but I don't know how to fix it  :-\

Hello! I found this this community has been really helpful to turn WIPS from many people and turn them into something amazing! I would hope you guys help me do the same, since I am pretty new to Pixel art. I tried to use dithering, but I don't think it had the result I wanted.
I guess I am asking for some C+C please! Thanks!
