Portfolios / ~ Experienced Pixel Animator ~
« on: July 23, 2016, 05:39:19 am »
Hello!

I'm a professional Animator and Pixel Artist, and this is a small collection of samples from some of the games I have worked on.

A little about me:

I started working (paid work) on video game art and animation in 2009 for small java games for Nokia phones, and since 2012 as full-time game artist and animator to this day. I have played roles of Lead Artist and Art Director in long term projects, including Star Trek: Trexels II and Bitcoin Billionaire.

Traditional Animation (frame-by-frame) is my main focus. Animation that boosts a dynamic, elastic and charismatic look to characters and monsters. This is a major advantage in terms of quality vs. all other animation techniques used in recent 2D games that use 'skeleton' or 'rigged' character animation (like Spine) which just ends up looking stiff, generic and low quality.

Besides the love for drawing, I'm a gamer at heart, which I consider very important in order to create games.

You can find me on Discord: Dnilo #9890 or Twitter as Dnilox. Feel free to ask anything! Like the meaning of life, which is 42.

Note: Please don't ask for free work. If you require a test of any sort the time spent on it shall be paid.

Hello dudes and dudettes,

My names is Daniel, aka as Dnilo in the pixel world. I have come to tell you about the last hours of my game in Kickstarter, I know it's a bit late for posting this, but it is never late to show you this project.

The name is Steel Assault, an indie retro game based on the NES limits, with influences from the late generation games like Batman and Shatterhand, with a bit of gameplay mechanics from Megaman.

This is a two-man team in which I do all the pixels and my friend Sri does the coding and music, we have been working on it for ~6 months sporadically.

You can take a look at it on the Kickstarter link here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/43113410/steel-assault

I hope you like what you see!! And we appreciate your help :)

Any questions or comments about it are more than welcome, and I'll be in touch.

Thanks again!

Hello,

I'm a Pixel artist and animator, this is my portfolio:

http://dnilo.imgur.com

I just have a couple of questions:

1. Could you post the address to your website? Because I can't find anything about your company.
2. Do you have any other style references for the art you aim for? Since the ones that you posted are very far from being 100x100, these ones range from 16px to 50px.

Thanks.
