The curve of the roof is too tall and narrow, should be lower and broader. The back could probably go up a bit.
The tail lights should curve down, not up. The side of the front lights should be closer to the front tire. The gap in between them, narrower.
The door handles should be higher up.
That black thingie near the front tire should be wider. Compare that to the width of the door handles.
The lateral curve of the car as seen from the front goes out, then in, then slightly out a bit. I'd paint that with the lighter gray to reinforce that. And the bottom lines of the doors should follow that.
Also, I wouldn't use black for those lines, as it's way too dark and creates too strong a separation.

The hood of the car bulges up a bit and could probably use some definition to accent those ridges.

I find it hard to grasp the form of the head, especially with the cheek scar being so dark. I guess darkening that eye and a bit of AA on the scar would help.

Considering your lighting reference, how about if you made the left (his right) side of the head darker with the other browns?

or even

I'm not too much of a fan of using white in the eyes as it's such a bright color. The orange also kind of mixes with the brown so it's hard to read it as the iris.

EDIT: More prominent bridge of the nose..?

The mustache was way too bright now that it was between two dark lines (shadow of the nose/mouth), so I darkened it a bit.

---

How about that darker tan for the upper lip?

EDIT 2: rewrote a bit of the post, it didn't make much sense before.

So, I sharpened things a bit, reshaped the beard and the face, making it a tad more angular.
And added the scars back. Still not so sure about them...

And worked on Ciri a little more, making her nose smaller and giving that other lock of hair. Hopefully it reads as that.

---

EDIT: Or if you wanna smooth out the heck out of everything using colors from the pauldron on his face:

That pale yellow could also be used, but he looked rather sickly when I tried adding it:

Well, the scars don't *have* to be red, though, do they?

Ciri's could also be subtler.

(not sure if it looks better, though.)

No prob.

I looked at it again today and noticed I had ignored the pommel, and while I was at it, also decided to give the sleeve part of the hood a bit more form. That straight vertical line didn't make much sense with the added curves.
Also changed the shoulder to give the crossguard something to contrast against, and *had* to change the skull a bit also for that purpose.
Changed the hands too, because I just can't stop. (no, actually because imo they were lacking detail, so I highlighted the knuckles and separated the fingers.)

....aaand a slight variation using some of the shadow to try and give it some more form, for the heck of it.

Hopefully the skeleton isn't too dark now.

Maybe something like..?

I had to remove the outline from the sword as it was looking more like a stick...

Worked some more on her face. It's rough, still doesn't look that much like her, but I guess it's more "solid".
On yours, if you don't mind me saying, it lacks that dimensionality.

I had made her nose too wide before, I apologize for that.

EDIT: Also, by looking straight at us and squinting her eyes a bit it makes her look more fierce. On your last one she looks in doubt, worried, even fearful.

Played around with her facial features a little bit. Made her mouth wider, moved the eyes slightly...

Before/After:

A little bit of a snarl, perhaps?

I really like Limes' edit above, though. Could use some of that dark pink on the right, medium blue on the left... Hmm...

Eh, went ahead and did some of the body too. Maybe too toned? Too bulky/masculine?

A couple of questions:
The lack of dithering on the uniform was an attempt to convey a different texture to either the hair or the face. Do I take it that this wasn't working very well? Your edit only uses it sparingly on the uniform, but I'm not sure if that's just because there are bigger problems with the head.

Similarly, the way I've done the top of the right (picture-wise) shoulder patch was attempting to convey the softer fabric of the jumpsuit creasing over the more rigid edge of the patch. I know I exaggerated the appearance a bit, but does this not read well?

Was attempting to evoke scan lines with the shading a bad idea?

I didn't work much on the jumpsuit because I was trying to keep myself focused on her likeness. Only at the very end I decided to look around for any other things that could be fixed, and there wasn't anything major with the jumpsuit.
Actually, I consider most of what I did were tweaks, except maybe for the eyes and the mouth.
By comparing your image with the reference, it seemed to me that some areas could benefit from a tone in between the 2 darkest ones just to give it a bit more detail... But it does work well without it. It was one of those things that I didn't know if I should do, but ended up doing anyway...although I probably should have added it in other areas as well, not just to a single spot.

I couldn't help myself in softening some areas with dithering, maybe I should have tried to keep it to a very minimum.

So, yeah. I used it to soften the face, then decided to use it on the arm, then said what the heck, let's use it on the neck and ...weeeell, let's put some of it on the jumpsuit as well.
Yours is much more consistent.

Oh the shoulder folds, it does read as that. I was just trying to copy the original image.

I really like your style of using lines instead of just dithering to soften some areas, it has a very cool look to it; I just didn't use it because it would be harder for me to try and emulate. As I have made some dither brushes in Photoshop, it was just a matter of grabbing those and painting in some larger-ish areas instead of painting dot by dot by dot.
But maybe it should have been used in the whole picture as a single style of "dither", similar to using hatching instead of stippling when you're drawing pen and ink, and not both things at the same time.
Not that that's wrong, but maybe it would improve the image? I don't really know.

Does it evoke scanlines? Sorta. It may need a bunch more to really sell that.
