There are two types of lighting: direct lighting and indirect lighting.

With direct lighting, the sun is shining directly through the window, so you would see the shape of the window projected into the room, with hard borders.  Quick-and-dirty edit:


With indirect lighting, the light through the window is reflected light and is coming from all directions, so you would have soft shadows that only loosely follow the shape of the object that casts the shadow.

The character is a 10 year old girl and the player character for an upcoming platform game.
Colors from a palette by Dawnbringer.
There are still lots of little details to fix, but I'd like some feedback on the general flow of the animation before I spend too much time and effort on the details.

Please help me fix the shading.  Other C+C is also welcome.
The character is a girl, approximately 10 years old.
The character is intended to be the player character for a commercial platform game.
Colors from a palette by Dawnbringer, but feel free to critique them anyway.
