well, you're starting I presume, skill comes with practice, and observation, I need as well to run a long way to get to a very good level with pixelling and drawing in general, but what I suggest you to do is to finish all your WIPS, and about colors, is just a fact of knowing about contrast, is about using colors that really makes difference one and another in between. and many people use it, and sometimes it looks good, but everybody must agree that you have to be careful with black outlines, because in allot of cases, they make the piece look not as good as it could...
I'm a learner, and I'm not a veeeery skilled artist, but I hope this can help you in some way...

I think you need use more contrast with the colors, since you want it to look cartoony.
I did a very little edit with colors also i saw you had several extra colors that where making no difference, still, i think the pallete could be improved, but this is just a glimpse of what you could do for making it look better, also I would like you to observe, what i did to the bubbles. you can see as well that i used purple to outline and shades since your background is blue.

one of the most remarkable feminine features in a woman, are the lips. I think Ptoing really captured that sensuality and beauty that a woman must have.alos I share the opinion of not using black but a very dark color.
I also have to say that I love that piece allot. she is very curvilinear, very feminine body, and the face edit was the final touch. Mirre, amazing job! I hope that if I eat my veggies and pixel hard, I'll be as well skilled as you are <3

So i saw the bloody murder challenge. and it makes me remember the fad when pixelers here used to kill each other, so it brought back memories, though, I didn't do one of my own.
Now back to reality, I'm stuck just when i was left before, cause I didn't pixelled much after those times, so my animation skills are not that good, (that is not gonna stop me) but the mostly i have problems with is that is hard for me to make poses, every time i draw a body I have to draw it static and them make modifications. so this is my WIP of the body, I could use some tips in what I can do to improve the lineart, and also how I could do to make it look more natural.
I normally ask Keops, but he is not here ATM.
the other stuff next to the lineart, is myself autoshowing how the legs arm and hands should look :3
