Hi all,

I thought I post my upcoming game here. For this game I did not ask for so much feedback from here  I did on my last game A Bastard's Tale. But a lot of the artists active here have worked on the game:
Wolfenoctis have worked on all the big pixel art pieces as well enemies and backgrounds.
Cyangmou worked on the backgrounds
Spyros worked on enemy animation
Gordon Shier worked on enemy animations
Harveydentmustdie helped with the main characters animations

A free demo is available on the Steam page and the game will hopefully come out this year: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1054710/Driven_Out/

Let me know what you think :-).

Thanks a lot again HarveyDentMustDie!

I tried to refine but I did very little. I feel like my skill level cannot really make it much better.

I agree with the shadows on the legs is better the way you do them. I think because the character can turn in the game (but with the same shadow) I did not want to make it too realistic but I think it looks better your way.

(and BTW HarveyDentMustDie did you see my PM?)

Here is a cleaned up version. I tried to follow you advice but might have lost some of the flair of the waist clout.

Wow, that was an amazing edit. You really gave it the weight I was looking for!

it is actually a she. I know that is not so clear from only this animation.

If you do not mind, I will your use you edit as a base and try to refine it more with the help of all your points. then I will post it here.

I am happy that you like my first game! This one is similar but I am trying to make it more accessible and hopefully more fun.

Hi All,

Spyros worked with me on a still unannounced project after he submitted his resumé to this job request https://pixelation.org/index.php?topic=20005.msg172747. He did some great animations on pixelart made by wolfenoctis.  He is really skilled at creating unique and interesting animations and was a pleasure to work with.

Thanks for the feedback. Here is a new one that is a little bit like you said with rounded edges.

Pixel Art / Air impact animation for a punch

Hi all!

Long time no see. I am slowly working on the next game.

I am trying to make an "air impact animation" (do not know the right word for it) for a punch. However, I have zero experience so I am not really sure how to make it look powerful and cool.

I have not found any good references. Looked a bit at Street fighter 3.

So here is what i got so far:
1:

EDIT:
Made 2 more versions=
2:
3:

So far I like number 2 the most.

Thankful for any help!

Job offers / Enemies and Animations
« on: April 04, 2016, 01:23:11 pm »
This game will be similar to A Bastard's tale, which I made with the help of Wolfenoctis. http://store.steampowered.com/app/371550/

I want help with most part of the graphics of my next game.

Primary I want help with enemies and animation. The animations should be realistic and easy to read.
The artstyle should be similar to these ones made by Wolfenoctis( I own these and they should also be animated) .

-Every enemy should have 3 attack animations with around 15 frames. (the attacks would be High, middle, low)
-Every enemy should have 3 blocked animations if the attack gets blocked by the player (around 5 frames can sometimes reuse attack frames)
-walk animations with around 10 frames
-Death animation around 10 frames
-Half of the enemies should have stagger/hit animations, 3 different ones depending on hit around 10 frames each.
-There would also be some special enemies such as magicians.

In total I would like to have 20 enemies however, I am not sure how many I can afford so I might have to do some myself.

I would also like to have parallax scrolling backgrounds in 3 layers. With 6 different environments.(low priority might have to do it myself)

If you are interested PM me with your rate and link to previous work. If we seem to be a good fit we could start out with one enemy.

If you could give a total rate for everything that would also be interesting.
