Pixel Art / Re: Project Leader Weapons

Some llittle suggestion for better (?) ramps

bow -> crossbow -> handgungun -> shotgun/rifle

gun -> shotgun -> rpg -> button (THE button, you know, wink wink)

anyway, IMHO I think the whole gun thing is too much out of theme
you have to keep medieval/fantasy, so maybe

sling -> bow -> crossbow -> really old ancient artifact (shotgun)

otherwise:
articulate weapons? (whip -> flail -> triple-flail -> ball and chain ) but maybe it sounds too much slavery-like and your leaders are not happy :)
magic wands? (wand = leader symbol)
...

I say my comments because your idea is great and deserves the best...
I leave you with this little jewel

about the biggest power in the universe idea: what about a star/gravity-themed escalation (not that far from your origina idea) with something like
white dwarf-something
giant red-something
supernova-something
black-hole-something
there are a lot of otherfantastic buzzwords: galaxy, pulsar, quasar, nebula, ...

About the weapon choice: if you want to keep on the hand weapon you are still missing the polearms
ploe, lancer, halberd, etc
otherwise, to highlight the superiority you could make use of long-range (bows, guns, ...)? but i think it may sound a little out of theme...

In my opinion, lighting is not consistent: light on top seems to come from the far (like it was if a sun was on top of the background mountain) while light on the back and legs seem to come from behind the viewer. Try to fix it.

Sorry in anticipation for the slight harshness, but I just want to convey the message:
[...] I really had no idea what I was going for at all- [...]
when doing figurative art, THIS, is THE problem that often newbies have.
It was the same for me for the first [insert big amount of time here] .
If it is a tree you want to draw, try to find a reference model (better if real, but to start a photo could be fine too) and to render it on your fvourite media (it can be pencil&paper or PA or what_else_you_prefer).
After some times you do this you will FEEL the improvement yourself, and then, benefit of people comments much more.

bouncing glasses is cool, but what if you try keeping the eyes from bouncing? I'm not sure it will be good, but I think is worth trying a take.
Anyway... it makes me wanna have time to jump around, platform to platform...

ok, this is my take on fire... maybe is a little distant from the flow your original was conveying... also changed a little the colours, but using yours:

just one hint: please don't dither fire. It becomes like whool, but should look more like satin.

I don't want to be offensive in any means, but let me say that you moved from the "angry mage-warrior king" to the "gay prince" look...
If this is the look you are going for, i'ts fine, but with refining you lost all of the harshness and depth the original design seemed to have.

yoo hoo, color edit, my fvourite!  :)

I just add that in my imagination, Odin is cold colors... and perhaps try reducing them, it's like you use one and half times the ones you need.
I liked the version with the hand, but maybe this way it is more clear.

Yes, I was referring to post 25... anyway, if you prefer to keep near to the last design, why not trying to put the fire on the back of the sword? like a trail... It will also give a nice secondary lightsource.
