Vedsten: Hehe It does looks a bit odd, I suppose... Then again, his anatomy all-around is pretty far gone, far as realism goes. I was going for more of a symbolic thing with the anatomy (that is, it's recognizable as human, but clearly is very distorted). I'm more than open to suggestions, though. How d'you reckon I go about it?


I get the distorted thing, yet i think the the ribcage/stommach area looks like..... well, a merge between a ribcage and beer/pregnant stommach. I suggest you either remove the  vertical rib shading and move the whole thing a coupple of pixels to the left (so i looks like a stommach), or move it a few pixels to the right so the ribs are situated in a believable fashion

ahh the memories...
great stuff as usual, the neck however bugs me a great deal. Owls heads tend to just slide into their bodies..... or something like that.

damn sexy! prefer the solaris vers. -the huge contrast between the white and yellow in the upper right corner on the c64 vers, somewhat ruins the composition imo. The solaris vers. features a smaller contrast between the colors thus looking a bit more eyepleasing.

Anyhow, great work

Great shit, just started playing Metroid a coupple of days ago to see what all the fuzz was about (i know, i oughta be crusified or something), now i know  :)

Im worthless when it comes to anatomy, so I won't try commenting on that, besides, the only thing bugging me is the black you've used for the right eye/ gun. Tone it down a little, it pops out a tad too much right now.

I love the colors!

great stuff !

a coupple of suggestions for the anim: The motion of the tail looks a bit too fast. The first few frames are fine, but i seems to speed up in the end. Add a few frames and slow the last part down. A bit of tail action after he finishes his punch would look cool anyway. Also, you might wanna contrast the arm/torso abit, otherwise the animation might end up a bit too cluttered.

Anyhow, great job, looking forward to the colored vers. of the anim!
