I suggest adding a really dark brown or black, cuz I know a lot of people may want to match their own hair color.  Have you considered more unnatural hair colors or is that too anime for you?

Yeah, Bob said it, I definitely didn't get the Halo vibe from the background at all.  Try drawing more on the game for cool design and lighting elements and such, it'll really help you with a convincing transition from 3D to 2D.

You didn't really change the pose at all!  What I was talking about was something more like this:

This is the kind of pose where you are unable to copy stuff from the original portrait.  Trying this or another difficult pose would be best, I think, because it would get you to think on your feet about what makes Indigo's style a real style.  I know you say you did stuff from scratch, but you were obviously looking pretty hard at the original while doing it.

Yeah, you pretty much just copied features and stuff, like you're dolling with Indigo as a base.  :huh:

A good way to copy the style without plain copying would be to do yours from a different angle and a different pose.  Like, a portrait of you looking over your shoulder or something.  You would really learn a lot more about Indigo's style that way.   :y:

Smooth it out, mang!  I think less texturing, more definition of form would help a lot on this piece.

I like the new tile, but I think you should leave the other grass tiles the way they are, it looks fine.  Also I don't like the second set of cooler colors as much.
