I have been messing up with this tree for few days and yet I couldn't make it good and satisfy myself. I skimmed through tutorials but they couldn't help me either.
Please help.

Hello everyone. This is a base I made just to improve my pixel art abilities. I want this base to have 3/4 perspective and also good palette. I spent almost an hour deciding colors for this and I came to the conclusion that bases looked better with analogous colors.
This base has north, south and east directions:

I am extremely sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings, I actually didn't mean to.
As for your style (ptoing) I was just going trying to use it for this particular charizard. I am still learning pixel art and not trying to shrug any criticism off... It's just that I wanted to go for straight lines for this piece particularly and if I had taken the advice from jinza I'd have to lose those lines. But seriously.. I didn't want to hurt anyone.
Thanks to both 9_6 and Ptoing for advice. I'll try to follow them and be a great art.

I really appreciate your comment, sir. But the problem is I do not want to go for that style. I was trying to go for the style of famous artist ptoing. He uses straight lines and so did I. I mixed his line-art style and my shading style.
