basically its about a amish priest saving a child from haunted house, would like to explain more later since I don't have time now, game should be shadowy if it makes any sense.

edit: character walk animation, could be a lot better

I think only unusual thing about your 45 degree characters that they look quite ok from front or back but when you turn them sideways they give feeling of toys/figures instead of actual in game creatures, I'd suggest you to go for UO isometric degree which should be pretty close to Boktai game that facet mentioned, but thats because I think it would be easier for you to pull off while making things look like they are actually there and I'm a big sucker for UO type isometric games :), other than that if you enjoy/really want to make Ultima7 like angle like I said I think sideway characters looks bit unusual but again that might just be me, else looks fine to me.

This instantly reminded me of WDIDTDTML on psp, idk if you have played it or not but if youre planning to do something like that it sounds awesome.
only ting bugging me is that minions look too alike(if youre going to use them all) I might've get it wrong but I if youre going to give them all different jobs I'd say at least change their colors.

and if you haven't played WDIDTDTML certainly play it, it starts out as fun but gets chaotic easily, here a ss.

Wow great edit blumunkee, her face looks just right and overall that iconic style PPD going for looks much more classy, I definitely agree with sprites being too large tough idk if these are for just animation or for game oriented, either way scales just seems getting bigger with each step but I'm not a pixel pro so I might be wrong since I don't know the purpose of these characters.

actually I thought about it a bit and didn't like that eel lady, she looked like ariel a lot, tough I really wanted to draw about sea and tought I should draw something from greek myth, then color palette seemed very close to "the birth of venus" always wanted to paint something similar to that so I'll try to make that in pixel instead, this is so far what I did, only sketch.

this is what I did so far, idk what is wrong with ih but something is off, I'll sleep and see what I can with more clear mind, if all fails I might consider changing palette.

I started on this eel lady seeing original post was about sea, my palette wasn't as bright as I wanted but I don't want to cheat, I hope I can finish this, this will be my first pixel paint thingy if I can finish, I probably made anatomical mistakes and such but I can't see them, please tell if something is bugging you.also PPD you seem to draw with brush like pen, is there a trick to it, I too use GG but my pen is only 1px.

seeing little action drawings couldn't help doing this, so I made this for fun basically, scaled up just a tiny bit.
