Uh, I think if you press start at the game over screen it will act as if you hadn't died and that you're just unpausing.

yes, we know this problem, we will correct all the bugs in a next release, stay stuned !

hello all

finally I made a new game with a french coder named Birslip
It's a reflection/platform game for the Nintendo DS. This game is full 3D and it runs at 60fps. It includes 10 levels with differents features.
You must collect all the bananas of each levels in order to finish them.

the pixel low poly Game Boy ! (128*64, 12 tris)


           

I'm curious as to how you guys re doing these 3d pixels. I'm quite intreagued by them and am attemping one of my own at the moment, i've come across a problem though, my pixels come out blurry. do you somehow plan out how man pixles long it will be exactly while modelling it?

I'm using 3Ds max and when I'm making my material I customise the texture like this :
self-illumination : 100
filtering : none

and for the render I'm unchecking antialiasing.

the driver I chose for the render is opengl.

I tested it today, very happy from this new version, the new icon is very fun.

the only problem for me is the new layer system. It's not very clear to use layers like what we can do with photoshop. We can use the "L" button to enable/disable the layer composition of the frames or the animations. ???

Glad to see the isometric grid and the palette editor plugin integrated.

for your background, take a look at World of illusion on genesis :



make more contrast on shadows for example, your character is in a forest, so try to create a light/dark ambient :)
