How long does awesomeness like that take you? And how do you render work/ what program do you use?

render ? render with 1px or biggest brush line in PShop

repair contrast and shadows in many areas ... also I'm not so happy with new roof over small building, because for my taste need more wood, but I don't know ...

anyways, firstly the little farmer it looks like hes wearing some kind of rock on his read. and for the small building, i think you should remove the wood from the roof, i would assume that both buildings were made by the same person, therefore the roofs would be made the same, and why does the small building have chimney?

on the teroc, the body needs a bit of shading on the chest, and the head... well i think you could lose all the spikes from the back of the head (the shoulder ones are okay) the spikes make it hard to define exactly where the neck is and the thing on top seems conflicting (think of it on a different angle). lastly you need to fix up the light on the tip of the tail and on the shoulder spikes

one last point, your sprites are all in different styles, you really need to get all your artists to work in a similar style.

yeah, i really wanted something simple, and this seems a step in the right direction, the clouds in the first one help a lot, thanks

well if your gonna work with angular sprites you really need to do it to the tile as well or its just gonna look awkward, as for the waist movement, what i mean is to get the effect you add a pixel into the waist/thigh instead of it happening with the straitening of the leg. sorry if im not making any sense, if you still don't get it i'll do an edit

actually, for the walking. i thought it was his idle pose, but he is walking on an angle, once hes moving straight across it will look strange. and one more thing, in moving the head up and down your extending his waist, not his legs. but apart from that it looks good

well i might cut out alot of the beach, but at first i was thinking of the image as a whole, but when you break it down it becomes quite simple.i'll probably add some points of interest in the sand though. the water will be the biggest hurdle though because ive never done realistic water... but its just more of a learning piece, so it probably wont be used for anything, maybe a menu for a game... if i ever get around to finishing one

i hated the clouds, to but every time i looked at it i just thought, to big for detail, but ive changed my mind and started with a new cloud style, but i have a little problem that i couldn't quite figure out, with the new clouds i was wondering how the light would hit them, if the moons in center would that make a difference? or doesn't it matter because of its distance away?

i would have done more but i wanted to get that cleared up first.

ps. i havn't scrapped the girl

been lurking for a few days, decided to post for some c&c, started working on this today, its my first landscape so i need some help... anywho, i started on the clouds, but there pretty dodgy, my main problem though is the water, i have no idea how to get a good texture. incase you cant tell thats sand up front, i also realise the moon isnt right, but ive barely touched it.
