The smaller hole looks very strange...I'd say, fill that smaller hole and replace it with deep scratches or something like that. Just looks out of place.

I agree with what the previous two said. I like the blue and gold more than the black and white. Wouldn't it be hard to play chess at this perspective? Side view I mean, I always imagine chess as a top down thing. If not please explain how this is going to work out because I'm really interested.
Most chess games use side-view pieces while the board is top-view.

Anyway, these look really nice. :y:

About gameplay time, I don't like how RPG's get so detailed and complex. You shouldn't have to make such a complicated game for 100 hours of gameplay. I prefer the simpler, addictive games. With most RPG's, once you're done once, you're done for good. But take for example, Super Smash Bros Melee. I just checked my stats and I've played about 425 hours of it. (I've had the game for about 6 years, so don't go yelling that I have no life.) The point is, simplicity is what keeps games fun. IMO anyway. Look at Pacman, that's been aound for over 25 years now.

On the original topic of the thread, now that it's summer I play video games about an hour a day. Usually it's not that much. But I spend much more time making games.

That's right, the eyes are crooked because the head is slightly tilted, it just looked better that way when I was pixelling it.
Then the bangs should be crooked too, because the way they're positioned now make her head look straight.

The thing about easier games like Super Mario 64 is that most of the time you can challenge yourself by unlocking everything. In this particular game, you have to find 150 stars before you can unlock every mini-game, which took me quite a long time, and was very challenging. So if you wanted to, you could take the easy way out and not find all the stars, or you have the option to challenge yourself.
