Pretty good so far. I'm really digging the shape and texture of everything. As for the dark look you want, I'd leave the back wall alone for now and focus on darkening the pillars and the foreground wall. With the gold pillars, I think the current color would be fine for right next to the torches, but it should fade out and get darker farther from the torch. I also may consider possibly adding a bit of darkness to the back wall in a while so that you can have some light coming from the torches and windows and have some contrast. Overall it's very good but I'm tired and confused and rambling so take my advice with a grain of salt (that's an actual expression and not a rambling, right?) but good job.

Actually, jagged nipples and a missing eye are what I would associate with a lame, obese, no-life Pokefans.

I'm more concerned with the highlights on the costume - are you sure they look right compared to the highlights and shading on the man in the costume? Maybe I'm just unsure cause I haven't slept in a loooooong time. Otherwise it's a generally great and funny piece.

I like the shading of the pages on the book, but I think the shape of it is a bit weird. Near the top, the red portion of the cover looks much darker than it should be considering the light source, and from the angle it's at it seems like there should be some of the tops of the pages showing at the top of the book.

As for the face, I suck at drawing people so I can't give you too much advice, but the helmet seems a bit dull. It would be great if you made it slightly bigger and maybe added more highlights.

Good start, can't wait to see more!

Woah, neat trick :)

Anyway, I'm not sure exactly which icons you guys are pointing out, but the one with the blue question marks and the plain tg icon were just some placeholder icons I made to test out the new system, and I forgot those two weren't pixeled. I'll go in and replace them right now since I have nothing else to do atm.

Edit: Changed those two icons. Let me know if there's anything else you guys would like to comment on. :) Thanks for the c+c so far!

Added another icon for one of the magazines I'm doing puzzles for. Also working on a dark gray/black icon with some isometric stuff on it. Not sure what it will be for though.

Very good work. I know for sure I could never do something this good. However, I feel like I'm seeing random lines near the top/center of the biggest ship/tank. I know that those squares are meant to be 3d looking and create depth, but without looking at the zoomed in version, it's hard to tell. It would be great if you could make the contrast a bit better on those areas. I also feel on the large one the sides have a bit too much black than they need - maybe use some dark blues there. Other than that, tremendously great job.

A agree with many of MoD's crits, but rather than circular buttons, might I suggest an enlarged version of the powerup P sprite for them? I really like that powerup, and maybe a larger version of it with the proper logos would look more like buttons. You could probably even make a hover effect in the game to fade in the logo on each button.

With the stars, it seems like the inner lines are too bright and don't really fade out as much as they probably should on the ends of the lines. I also think that maybe you should have some other star shapes besides crosses - perhaps an X, a 6 pointed star, or something else.

Hey everyone. I've been working on an icon set for my website, which is http://thegriddle.net because I wanted a cool icon based layout that worked well with XHTML validity. I like my layout and I like my icons for the most part. The maze one is randomized using php, which I'm especially proud of, cause the coding for that is still a bit new to me. I'm posting mostly because although I may edit some of these, I mostly want suggestions for improvements on icons I make in the future. Anyway, enough jibber jabber (since most people won't read this anyway).
