Pixel Art / Re: Pixel Shrimp Volume 3

This is really cool!

The way you have done with the x2 pixels down at the face is an awesome idea
However, you see the right claw but not the right legs and maby some antennas too would be nice..
It looks a little like an "alienshrip" at the moment, but maby thats what you want...

one more thing, the a.a on the 2 backlegs is a bit wierd and the last one is to long, you should take away some of it and make it
sharper cos' the body at that point is not x2 pixels...

This is a great progress after what I saw at your first try!

Good luck and keep on with your style!

I made this edit:

old new

first, I changed the background leg colour and put a brighter colour on the shorts.
second, I added some headmovement.
Third, I lifted the knee on the forth and last picture and made the knee shorter.

His spine is still straight..But I like it that way  :)

This is really great! Thank you for all the efforts to help me, I hope I don't disappoint you too much!
If it is something you want to add, you are welcome. However, I wont be able to answer so quickly due
to a pretty harsh national test in mathematics this week...

see you later!

thank you for the great critics! It really helped me a lot!

This is what I came up with:

I didn't bother doing the "bumping" now, just wanted to get the right motion

(It's me, Male)  :P And the "skirt" is my black shorts

Hi there!

I suppose no one knows who I am.. So maby I should consider myself new here for the moment.
This is not my first pixelart. I have been doing pixelart since 5 years ago actually.
I have done graphics to a couple of games and my art is quite a lot inspired by Kennethfejer's.

It's been some trouble with school so i haven't been able to do my art in about 2 years now..however,
I will try to start up again and I hope you will enjoy my works!

I made a small picture of myselves (my avatar...)
This is my try for a "running animation":

did this "update" later on:

Last update:

Personally I think it looks a bit stiff and it looks like his legs are faster than his arms but i can't figure out what it is? any idea?
You are very welcome to say whatever you feel!

First of all, its way to stiff. You need to make more curves where there are muscels and stuff.
the second thing is that you need to work with a lot more darker shadows and more brighter light, contrast(On this one i dont think you should use any light at all, cos skin doesnt reflect much light..if it isnt draped in oil.).
The third thing, you need to take away the pixels that is "dubble"(dont know what it is called) and maby dont use black as an outline.
or just on the place where there is no light and then make a brigther line where the light hits, some sort of lightsource need to be added. i dont know if you want it the "dolly" way but i think you should try study a human body.

i hope i can be of any help

good luck!

thank you, for your advice gliding : D

i made a new one ^^ got a sick idea that i wanted too see what is underneath that coat.

got in some problems with his feet and his right hand.
and it looked a little strange when i shaded the leggings (tight dress?) so i made the white spots lighter and darker instead, what do you think?

this is my first pixelart in be gentle.   :)

 dressed version undressed version^^

I like this.. tho it seems a little emtpy. Looks like you are a lot in to the details, so prehaps a nice background or just rainy clouds as you say.
One more thing.. The background tiles?(the ones that i dont think you can walk on?) they are a lot lighter. And i think you should try doing those colors at the normal tiles too. They are a little too bright.

But it looks really great i must say!

good luck
