hmm the guy with the glasses.. No offense intended but is that the you, or the guy from napoleon dynamite? ;)
love the people.. The colors are really nice, and those you used on the trees seem familiar too. Same palette as in that tree you submitted for that gba rpg project a long time ago?

First version. Png..

**EDIT**
Final submission with the paletterows.. (A pain in the ass I might mention.. :P)
But the extra time was great.. really didn't like the tiling in the first one at all.. Good luck to all entrants. Great job. :)

Faceless and Flabber I disagree with you on that matter. I'm not so active here and only checks the challenge section once in a month or something. Didn't see this challenge until yesterday and therefore thought it was great to still be able to enter. Ain't saying that my entry alone is worth extending the deadline but it can bee that there are others like me out there. ;)
And also he mentioned in his first post that
Quote
Deadline:

The initial deadline will be in a little over 2 weeks (February 17th). If popularity is big, we might extend it a week or so.
And the popularity has been quite good if you ask me. Just stating my opinion here.:)

Ehm know the time limit has passed but if i finish mine today will it be entered in the contest?

*** EDIT ***
Sorry, I'm blind... :P

Pixel Art / Small Alex Hanson-White/Pixelaro collab
« on: November 12, 2005, 08:45:30 pm »
A small collab where each of us made an 48x48 lineart of a creature and then the other one colored it. Think the end results turned out rather good.. even if part of the fun in the challenge is to se if the other one understands the lineart, and colors it the way it was intended or not. :) Not really sure if i managed just that hehe. Anyway heres the pixels. ;)

looking cool, really like the eyes on the one to the right.. nice colors.. the tinting to violet looks good..
Dont know what you can do about this if you is going to keep the style. Ooh and the folds looks good. My only crit has to bee that i don't know what that is really going on with his hair, the sharp cut between the light hair and the dark brown makes it look like he wears some kind of hairband and that he has a giagantic amount of hair hanging out. :) Really thats it.. looks good overall really good for 4 colors + background

Pixel Art / Re: New Guy, same Topic. My first attempt of Pixelart

I think for beeing an early try this is absolutely great.. youre lineart looks pretty good, even tought there is something strange about his ears, they seem to be in totally different positions. Your colors is ok but a bit on the boring side. to make them more interisting is to have them a bit desarutated but to change the hue as the colors goes lighter or darker. like having brown in the middle and make it more green as it gets darker f. ex :)
If you do this you will not only get a more colorfull palette but also use less colors because you can use almost any color to antialise because all colors are a bit grey, this is getting kind of difficault to explain but i've made an edit.. perhaps it will help explaining where i come short. Other than that you should be honoured for your poiteness(is that  a word?) you seem to have a good attitude, wellcome to pixelopolis. Said the one with 7 posts.. =P

I'm aware that this edit fails in some aspects,(particulary the form) but i think you might can learn something from the coloring. The edit has tree colors ledd than the original.
