Job offers / [PAID] Need Isometric Pixel Art/Illustrations/Logo
« on: December 29, 2015, 11:34:56 pm »
Hello, I am working on a personal project and seek to have graphics done for it. In particular I need isometric pixel art, illustrations, and a logo created. The illustrations and logo will be based off sketches I have made myself. I don't necessarily need all three things to be done by just one person so if you have interest in just one that is fine.

I need illustrations of the same type of quality work below created:

The isometric pixel art will be done on a 78x40 pixels isometric cell.

General Discussion / How to Balance the two?
« on: June 13, 2012, 01:55:28 pm »
My career goal is to develop my own game company so I have been trying to get good at more than one thing that is required to make them. I have been trying to work between programming and doing artwork, but it just seems to make me frustrated. I am currently in college majoring in Computer Science. I think that maybe I should focus on programming till i graduate, then start working more on practicing game art. Any suggestions appreciated! ;D

« on: June 06, 2012, 03:17:46 am »
Hello, I am a college student majoring in Computer Science. As a child I have always wanted to make video games. Now I am actually working towards making that happen. I will be creating a fantasy/middle ages web 2d orpg, which I will be doing all the programming in java and all the game design aspects myself. The game will have content for many types of players whether they prefer pvp, pve, or even leveling trade skills.

I am looking to commission a pixel artist that can produce quality top down art.

Example of quality looking for:

The things I will need done consist of:

Sprites (Player characters, Npcs, and Monsters with front, side, and back views.)
Items (Ex. Potion, monster drops, ores)
Equipment (Ex. Swords, shields, headgears)
Tile sets (Ex. Forest, Cave, Desert, etc, probably around 32x32)
Spells/Skill Animations

and probably more, I will provide a documentation of the things needed to be done and even reference drawings/pictures when necessary.

There will be a hire-for-work contract signed by me and the artist.
Payment will be through paypal and the amount will be negotiated with the artist.(I get paid every other friday)

Pixel Art / Indoor Tiles
« on: May 12, 2012, 03:24:51 am »
I have been working on them for a while and would appreciate some suggestions.
I think that I did not make the brightness between the top and sides big enough of a difference and the tiles look somewhat washed out.

General Discussion / Shading without worry
« on: November 21, 2011, 01:25:35 pm »
I am not good at color selection when making pixel art and would like to know some ways to shade before selecting colors, so I will not have to worry about it until later.

General Discussion / Being bad at color choice
« on: November 11, 2011, 10:06:36 pm »
A lot of times when I do pixel art, my color selections make it harder for me to see correct shading and I end up having to reshade and recolor pieces.
Anybody have advice for reducing this?,lately I have just being taken colors from real life objects.
