Well, if you really want to keep it as a black cloak, then so be it, but be sure, if you use it in a game, to put it on a light bg. If you don't mind about it being not black, I would change it to either a dark green, or navy blue. It would still give the darkness you want, with the visibility that everyone else wants.

Good job on the new sprite, and the reflection btw ^___^

You seriously need to sort out that knee. It is bugging the crap out of me. It is not right. Just get rid of the hilight, o don't make it look like his knee cap is 2 metres out of his legs.

Yeah, the blue sky I was a bit shaky on, I vhanged it back and forth a few times, and then I just decided to go with that one. I didn't see that in the tiles, I shall ave to change that around. I also forgot to add some other more interesting tiles into those ones to break up the monotony of the tiling..... will have to change that.
The cloud was done pretty quickly, I just thought I would make it somewhat my own by adding in a little something that I created. I will add more detail to it now.

I am going to go off and maybe make some more basic mockups and tiles, that is always fun :P

Hello all, I am not new here, but I am fairly new to pixel art. I used to do horrible interpretations, and now am getting back into pixelling, and I hope to improve my skills a lot more. This piece is based off of Kazuya's platform tiles tutorial. I think it turned out pretty well, for a nooby :P C & C please.



Oh, and I know it is almost exact to Kazuya's piece, but I can't do lineart very well....

I think the darker sprite is too dark, so there is not much room for detail, and where there is detail, you can't see it without having to zoom in. Make it a little more bright, imo.

I use ctrl+click to zoom back out, that just zooms out the same way as it zooms in.

Wow, that was a really helpful tutorial Dhaos, I sure learned a lot more from it. The other thing I would like to know about is line arting, and what you '1337' pixellers do to make it come out the way you want, I can never get that. But that probably isn't for this topic..... anyway, can't wait to hear what Helm has to say on this.

Heh, that's pretty rad. Well done.

I would say that you should rotate it to a horizontal view and tun it into a banner. Put soething like "Andy Tran" in there, or the name of a website or soemthing.
