Wow...I'm not the smartest. Because it was titled "[HELP WANTED] Pixelation 'RPG Perspective' Tutorial Project!" I wasn't expecting isometric inside.

I recently wanted to venture into making isometric, 3D cube tiles for another just-for-fun mockup, but even making a sim ple isometric cube is difficult to me! I aleways try and it looks wrog, i'm not even sure of what measurements I need. Does the cube have to fit in a 16x square if I want them to be 16x tiles? I'm really jsut lost and I can't seem to find any tutorials at all in specifics to tilesets. :S

First glance: N, K and D Grimsane :) They are interesting colour schemes, very unique, but not too outlandish that it would be an eyesore during gameplay and generally too...odd...I don't think the generic FPs world is ready for a very good art style just yet without people raving about how enemies shouldnt be pink and yellow, haha.

Ok, I prefer the saturated one more, so i'm going to go with that. :3 And thank you! The last mockup was intended to be a game with aspects from super crate box and age of war combined, and only got stopped because the coders just...stopped responding and me and the other artist started our GCSE's, ahah.

I really enjoy making mockups, but get halfway through because I never know what to add to them/how to do sprites! I didn't think I should have a thread for all of them, so I made a big collection of them. :)

Most are WIP's

I love TomF works very much but my style is much simpler than Tomf. I tried to test how it looks if i make very similar leaf texture than Tomf.. And this is the result. I added more than green color imo because it looked boring with my green colors.



My style is little bit like zelda and mother 3 mix. I like very simple style.

You ever going to work this into it? :)

I saw someone say something along the lines of: "These don't count as real pixel art. It's a texture pack lol."

Maybe they jsut weren't the brightest...

I made MLP texture pack for minecraft a while back, that I continue to update each patch.

I've never posted it here because I still consider it quite rough.

If it looks like pixel art and is made by pixel art techniques then yes, it's pixel art.
Just because the graphics are used in 3D doesn't make it less true.

Is your Minecraft forum name the same? I never knew it was you who made this!

And good point. Now my question; "Why would others think otherwise?"
