This has gotten so much help! Great community over here.
I am back from my trip but am completely knackered. However, I have half term/GCSE study break from friday onwards so I have time to pixel.

Hopefully fixed some things!

I was also wondering if the pallet was too bland?

This is my first foray into a more detailed tileset. Never really attempted a tree before so I hope my first proper try is alright. Everything is obviously inspired by beetlekings work which was constantly used as reference; I still tried to make mine have a slightly different (hopefully softer) style.

All the sprite-work is finished (except from your guys' critique) but the scene as a whole is entirely WIP. I've not even got a layout.

Very Cellusious-esque. If thats the look you're going for, then look at his work.

So it's less so a case of their looks but more the personality they are presented with?

quick sketch jsut to see if I understand the whole perspecitve thing:

8
So not exact 16x16 tiles, but rather elements that can tile together and be re-used?

9
Ok guys and gals: if I was doing that form of perspective would each "section" be comprised out of tiles apart from the background? Or would I draw out each scene?

This is really helpful. Thank you for all this information! I will definately work this into the tiles.
