General Discussion / Re: Holy Background Pixels Batman!
« on: September 11, 2009, 06:09:14 pm »
Excellent analysis, Batman sure was a looker of a game. For me it remains one of my best memories from the NES era for atmosphere. I really love how the game uses black to such great effect, infact there were plenty of other NES games that made great use of the fading to black that Batman does so elegantly. Back then you had to use your imagination to fill in the details. A true classic!

Just wanted to say that I really enjoy looking at your reworkings of my favourite old game characters, it always brings a smile to my face :) Your style is as cool as ever.

So now that Firefox 3.5 has been released is there a way to remedy the blurring problem or does it still exists?

General Discussion / Animation books?
« on: May 25, 2009, 05:59:29 pm »
I have seen an animation book mentioned on this site several times but I cannot remember what it is called. Can someone please help me out with the title so that I can buy a copy? I recall people saying how good it is but I cannot find the posts that spoke of it now.

Thanks for any help,

Jason.

Right you are, works fine with my Joypad but remember, lots of people do not have them on PCs.

Great looking engine though, should be a fun challenge for the pixel artists here who cannot program themselves.

Hi Holymonkey, great to see you posting on these boards! Just had a quick play of your demo and couldn`t get past the titlescreen. It says press "Z" to start but it doesn`t register. Am I missing something?

Anyway, just wanted to say that it is really good of you making these skinable games, I`m sure lots of people here will have lots of fun with them.

Pixel Art / Re: Some "Old" artwork for you ;-)

Hey Iceman, these bring back some great memories for me from my Amiga days. Were some of these used to promote the Reality Games Factory or maybe I have seen some of them on Amos disk mags?

Thanks for posting them :)

Portfolios / Re: Tom seeks freelance work

Hi Tom, you have some nice looking work that has a Kenneth Fejer feel to it in places. I hope that you manage to find someone to work with, I`m sure that you will have many requests. Good luck!

Loved your game demo too :) A cross between Super Frog on the Amiga and Sonic.

Is Firefox 3 still blurring images or has it been fixed now?

Thanks,

Jason.
