Those all look really good, but is sand really suppose to be that active?

Pixel Art / Sand Tiles and Tiling?

So, one of the first things you learn about pixel art when talking about tiles is breaking the tile. This general means that you place pixels on your turf (whatever size it may be) to carry onto the next tile. (Unless I'm completely wrong with that assumption) This partially hides the fact that you are using a tile over and over again, but how exactly does this apply to sand?

I did a sand tile based off of something Grimsane did a while ago:

Which makes it strange though, is that waves in the sand are more defined than a blade of grass. So what exactly do we do in situations like these? Would a simple solution is make the wave a bigger (64x32) and simply do several different waves and make them overlays to be placed on the sand?

The colors seem a lot more natural in the newer one (not as pink) Honestly the old ones don't look that repetitive. You can also do another set of mountains that will fit with the others as well to even further break repetitiv....ity....

This is a huge, major, super-duper necromancy, but out of curiosity am I the only one who can't load the chat anymore?

The wonky-ness comes from the roof of the car. It disappears from the viewer's perspective in more of a diagonal path instead of a curved one. By the distortions Cyan was talking, I believe, is the curves of the car. The passenger side of the car has a lot more curve than the drivers side, which completely depends on the model of the car since some cop cars are square-like while others take on a much more round form. But it seem the passenger side is a lot more round than the driver side.

Of course I can be completely wrong about that.

What Tim means is that the anatomy is quite off. Generally Musclebaby Syndrome, from what I believe, is caused by the Head (Factial Features like eyes, nose, mouth etc) to Body Ratio (As well as definition in muscles)

I wouldn't say that this is quite Muscle Baby material, which is good, though the head could be rounder and the legs could be fixed. Try to make the eyes a little tinier.
