General Discussion / Games in Planometric view

Well, along time no post....

I try to making a game for a DS. And think the best view for my idea is make the view in planometric.

But i not have much references only boktai from gba. I view this game in "sprite challengue" in this forum.

For the moment the game is beetwen isometric/planometric. I think the best option is planometric, but think i will make in isometric that i have more practice etc.. but need more references that how make iluminations, or pixel-arts in this view, or a city make in planometic for view how be the game better and for get a decision of perspective.

And if exist any tutorial of houses or character in planometric, etc...

In google not find good results putting "planometric" :( "gba planometric" "planometric characters", "Games Planometric" etc...

Any have idea of games in planometric, pixel-arts, etc... ¿?

Hello, (long time no post....)

A friend is making a remake, and send me the work made of a frame of the character to edit and make more detailed etc..

And made this how to example to my friend make the next frames:

The part of the head need more work but well is a fast edit.

This is the first proof of the wizard.

And think this is the finish wizard

I change the head (now have more perspective), and minus detailes and a little dark the new update, i haev think to animate the all the next frames, and with this head and minus detailed etc.. make the next animations etc.. will be more easy.

Any comments ¿? ¿yo like more the first head? you thin is better with more detailed or brightness,etc....

Well i finish all the moves etc... of the knigt and now the archer....

Yes i know the part of the hand is in the right and need make the other frames to the rotation will be correct(The fft not have this, only have 4 frames and the rotation is incorrect..)

How i said in the other post i took the characters of final fantasy tactics of psx and i nude the character and repaint with my style etc..

Is my first rpg sprite XD. I hate make characters im very bad, but well with this a reference i can make any acceptable.

What you think?

Well im workin for a game to pocketPC

The isometric characters are from final fantasy tactics of PSX, and took this for reference, i gooing to "naked" all the frames and make my own style sprites.

Also the "potrait" down is from another game i believe is from "tactics ogre".

The 3d textures are from free resources in internet. And for the moment i make the dialogs boxes and the menu "attack" "move" etc..

The game combine pixel-art+3d and will be a tactic rpg how the final fantasy.

The Resolution of pocket is 240x320 and this is the part of the game, the another part is from the state of the character etc..

You can move the camera to the 4 isometric direcctions.

General Discussion / What is the best to work in 15bits ¿?

Well i going to make gfx for a PDA/PocketPC and need make the graphics in 15bits.

How work on this?

I think work in 32bits mode and after put a filter to convert to 15bits...

But with 15bits the problem is:

If i make color choices after the color change a little etc... and well if possible the colours after the filter is equal or wrong...

Make the gfx in 32 and after a filter to 15 ¿or what i can make?
