Pixel Art / Squirrels Dump of many thingies...

Well it's been ages since I last posted here on Pixelation, and because there has been quite some development, regarding my personal project, I decided to open up a dump, that I will update with new stuff every now and then.
Feedback is ofcourse highly apreciated.

first things first. The new installment of my shoot em up will be made in Highres 1024x768 instead of 320x240. That's why I assembled this massive mockup:

there are black bars left and right, as well as a HUD, but since that was not final, I did not include it for the final installment of the mock...
there are 8 easter eggs as well! most have to do with Pixeljoint members.

Now this mock only contained enemies designed for the 320x240 version... here's a new one specificly designed for Highres:


still WIP, but you get the idea...
The restless soul, automaticly goes into standby, when low on health.
If you don't kill it completely in time, it will reactivate with full health.

though it also has it's benefits, like the added score and chain after each kill,
so you can milk it for points

and as an added bonus, here's Aki, a character I recreated in a higher resolution, from an old mockup of mine.

Pixel Art / Shoot em Up craft select, new Portrait!

well, I decided to spice up my shoot em up with some more weapons and selectable ships.
now I need a new select screen, and this is the current result. still heavily WIP.

here's the complete layout. obviously still missing some weapons in the list.


also when selecting the ship the lower part is displaying a box with information on the ship.
This will also be done for the weapons in a simmilar fashion.



someone at PJ mentioned that the blue hud is distracting from the actual ships.
I'll try to adress that with an animation on the selected ship, and some glowing effect.

Pixel Art / [WIP] variouse shoot em up stuff... NOW WITH MORE GOO!

currently creating quite a bit for a vertical shoot em up... putting all content in one topic rather than many...

some nebula for the space-themed stages; the upper part needs some work... the lower nebula is pretty much finished, I guess


some background stuff for the asteroid-belt level... still needs more large platforms and some shoot-able foreground asteroids.


current player ship with all animations... I'll probably add more animations, as the ship should look "alive".


planetary jungle stage... pretty early in development... currently just some dirt texture; really need to work on it.

Hi, I'm new here, though I was also around the old pixelation...

Anyway,currently I'm creating a vertical shoot em up, and this is the last enemy, I'm doing for the one Level version.
It's still a wip... I'm currently animating it.
