Thanks.  I'd been secretly tweaking it since I posted it, to hide the "out of practiseness".

That's pretty cool.  You'll note how the floor where they battle is one color.  They sneak either the player or enemy sprites (or both) in to the background, and use the odd sprite for overlapping the top or bottom.  It's quite clever. :D

Wow, that would have been a killer looking RPG on the GBC there Schu.  It's a shame though, the real GBC has this awful 10 8-pixel-wide sprite per horizontol line limit, that would glich that sequence of yours.

Cool, it's up now (see bottom of page).  I've already bugged him to remove the html border from the image, so that's all good.  Feel free to connect the link there whenever you're ready. ;D

Talk to ya later

That'll do great.  Nice work.  The logo in use itself isn't something whole heartedly attached to, but does the job.  We've talked about having a rotating logo thang going on (similar to pouet.net), as soon as we get enough variations to justify it.

Nice touch with all the ??'s on p-a-o. Very mysterious. ;D

We have a short list for Mandrake to do to the forum, so when he gets a moment the PAO button will go up.

Ok, I see, I missinterpreted "minibanner" as the normal sized banners on P-A-O.  Go with a normal sized one.  :D

Yeah, lets go ahead with the minibanner.  Thanks for volunteering ;).  The impression I get from the others is "bring it on", so no worries.  The sort of community we're trying to build there is one about discussing games and discussing making them, but not so much "how to make your first game".  Not sure how meaningful this is for a banner, but still. :D

And hey, thanks for taking the time out to make the banner.  I look forward to the results. ;D

By 'interesting plans' all I meant was anything out of the ordinary (simple button links).  Just pretend I didn't say anything there.

Cool.  Things got a little wonky last compo.  Glad they'll be cleared up for next time.

Anyways, as for the linkage, yes.  Enough of the guys seem for it, so yeah, lets set something up.

I was thinking about some sort of button link back to the hub.  You guys have any interesting plans like this for pixelation?

Thanks Pep.  I'll check with the other monkies that run the Circus there.  The word of mouth approach has done wonders for building a surprisingly focused community, bringing together those of us from the shadows, the docks and many more lost after the collapse.  Either that, or it's just been so long we have a lot to talk about. ;D

Some of the guys might be a tad concerned about it growing too fast, so I want to get their thoughts before I speak for all of us.

I do like your name for the portal "pixel arts", and there are a few other community service sites that might fit nicely under that banner.  The first is a mailing list for competitive game making competitions I happen to run at www.gamecompo.com (e-mail updates for Ludumdare 48, 72hourGDC and more).  The site/list is rather unknown at the moment (just over 50 subscribers), and could use some more publicity given the service.
