For first guy is really in mad mood  :D, but for this idea "He can't wear the helmet but he wants to join the corinthians!" - maybe I am use some another perspective, but with your face, me simpler paint...

And for avatar - old me very like, but if you very want... )). Maybe damaged you old face? It's a very funny for this idea and actually...

Good!
But the color on face capitan be better in older version. And remember, waves around Kraken must be a very huge because he is not small animal, some of this weaves must overflowon on deck of the ship, and ship on first plane maybe more slope - just for bigger expression.

I very pleased to see this.   :0' (yes, it's nice smile)
Few thinks:
Lightrays, when i see progress i think light from top right and in lake you did it in right side a shadow - "it's nice idea" - I thinking. But now rightlays in left and you have too spotlit side in lake - it's not very interesting. If you do light from top right and right side of lake do more shadow, almost like a on sketch - there have a play light and shadow, they talk with each other ;), now you lose this.
And do it more brightness on grass (Xion talk about this, like in old version), he evidently say for we - THERE IS SPOTLIT SURFACE, nevertheless.
Depth in forest a great! ))

About monster - Yes, maybe change color help you, also if he is lighting, than need some light from him (dithering, transparency).

Nice progress and good work, Sharm!
Top is fractional too much, from this higher column, do they lower and divisibility is disappear. You have too much piece for top, he press down on character - lift up him (and it's not usefull area for action - just for beauty). The column do a more thick, because it's COLUMN, not a stick. Than clear from column water - now it's not inetresting decision - use the big ark (with something pattern) for similar piece. And bg do it more darkness.

You atmosphere will be more gripping... )))
And for enemy (see on my image) - now you do more better, but he look as pattern, not for a while yet. Play line on his contour - thin, thick, empty line and some aura with right dithering (I don't do this).
